Absolutely terrible service. they installed a new water heater system in our house 4 years ago. The system has already broken down. We have called and emailed them every day for weeks to no response. Please beware! I would give 0/5 stars if possible.

Absolutely amazing! We have a water line replacement policy with Dominion Energy ($ 4.99 a month and worth every penny!). Calix was the plumber sent out by Home Serve who monitors the policies. Response time was immediate and a thorough inspection of the outside water line system, the house water pipes and our HVAC system water sources was performed. The water line was intact and we were advised that the problem lay within our new HVAC system. Calix rep was thorough and knowledgeable and we would not hesitate to recommend Calix to anyone.

I called Calix and they put a camera down my system and revealed I only needed to replace 2 areas that had roots in them. They saved me $12,000 by just being honest! I would call no one else ever again!

I have used Calix Plumbing for for three different house upgrades. They have the latest equipment and are very experienced. They are knowledgeable with codes and how to accomplish difficult remodels. I will definitely use them for any upcoming projects.

I have used Calix Plumbing for 3 different home/rental upgrades now and have been pleased with the work done all 3 times. Elmer and crew have the latest and best equipment plus a lot of experience. They are totally familiar with the codes locally and always have done what I consider very professional jobs. I have been in the contracting business for over 10 years and will only use Calix for any future work.

The job was done professionally - bath room leak stopped immediately and still no problems with it. The water pipes was rerouted in a clean/neat manner thus correcting the mistakes of previous installer. I have used this company before for other problems and I am always satisfied with their work. They always arrive at time as scheduled if not earlier. Very good at keeping in touch in case of rescheduling or updates. Staff is always courteous and professional.

Elmer Calix is the most responsive plumber I have ever used, and I refuse to hire anybody other than him. He is punctual, works around my own schedule, and is courteous and professional. His services have been excellent, and if something needed a minor tweak, he came back and fixed it without any questions asked. I had a new sink installed when we renovated the kitchen and Calix Plumbing cut down the old pipes under the sink, soldered and installed new pipes, connected everything and then came back and tightened it all up after some wear and tear, all to my great satisfaction. He also responded to an emergency leak situation. Prices are what can be expected for Northern Virginia, but you will get your money's worth with this fine plumber.

Having Mr Calix's telephone number handy is comforting. I first called him when my new home sprung a leak in 2014. During this repair we discovered that my home had polybutelene pipes so I hired Mr. Calix to completely redo the plumbing in my home. I recently hired Mr. Calix again because I needed an expert to redo a botched bathroom remodel and he came to my rescue yet again. He makes the process easy for the customer. For the remodel, he ensured all of the permits were pulled and I had a worry-free process. On every occasion, Mr. Calix communicated what the process entailed. His pricing is fair, he offers excellent consultation on the projects, he is trustworthy, and his work is exceptional. He provides excellent customer service. He's a master at his craft and I am delighted to offer this review. Thank you, Mr. Calix, for getting me out of a bind. My new bathrooms are looking amazing.

Calix plumbing did an outstanding job fixing a pipe that had been punctured and leaking in the wall of my kitchen. He was professional and did the work in a timely manner and has very reasonable prices. I would definitely hire him again!

we had a couple of issues with our plumbing in our home. First time we use Calix plumbing was for a leaking kitchen sink, the second time was to replace one of our toilets, both times they came and were punctual and the price was reasonable. I was able to schedule the following day for services. They could not give me an exact time, but told me it would be late afternoon. The next morning they called with an exact time and then called again when they were on their way. They were punctual and professional.

We called Elmer on Monday night around 6:30pm because we noticed our hot water heater was leaking. He said he'd be able to get there first thing the next morning. We scheduled him to show up around 9:30 and he was right on time. He talked us through what we needed with suggestions along the way. We asked if he could move the new unit to a more convenient corner (versus right in the middle of the utility room) and he said it wasn't an issue. They wore booties on the their shoes and put down tarps the entire way to the unit which was a nice touch. 
They got right to work taking out the old unit, moving the piping and electrical and installing the new unit. There was a reasonable extra fee to move the unit (more materials were needed) but they matched another Angie's List deal so it was still a great price. All told it took them about 3-3.5hrs to complete the work. 
We definitely plan to use Elmer and his team again for any future needs. Wonderful work and wonderful people.

Honest and Straightforward service at a very reasonable price. Elmer arrived within 45 minutes and was highly professional. Showed cutesy to my home by using shoe protectors. I had an issue of a wet basement floor and did not know the source. Elmer completely diagnosed the symptoms, inside and outside of the house, walking me through each step and advising possible causes. Located the source of the problem and addressed. Also recommend contracters to assist with water damage. Showed his plumber's license immediately upon arrival. Provided emergency service on a Saturday and did NOT charge a rediculous OVERTIME RATE! I will use ONLY his company in the future for ALL plumbing needs.

I called a local distributor to get a referral as I have always found this being the best way to get a great contractor.
The suppliers always refer people who they know will do a great job because it brings business back through their doors.
I was give Elmer Calix as a referral and I haven't looked back. He shows up on time, knows what he's doing and is courteous, clean and pleasant to work with.  
I would strongly recommend that everyone call this guy if your looking to be treated fairly, and have the job done correctly because when it comes to plumbing its not a job you can do right the second time and have a happy customer.

Elmer was on time and very professional. He is very knowledgeable. I was impressed with his evaluation of the wet basement. He walked with me around the exterior of the house, pointing out conditions that could be causing the wet basement.
Elmer is pleasant and answered my many questions. He does the project correctly and does not cut corners. We were on a deadline to get the house on the market, and Elmer worked around my schedule to complete specific repairs to accommodate the schedule for other contractors. My realtor recommended Calix Plumbing because he works with Elmer often and has seen the quality of his work. Elmer is honest, skilled, and dependable. I would certainly call him again for any plumbing concerns in my next house.

He showed up promptly at the agreed time.  He did all of the work in a very clean, neat fashion.  I was very impressed.  He did not make a mess of my yard, everything was done great and now, I even think I have stronger water pressure!  Maybe I am dreaming.  Anyhow, he is very good and I would highly recommend him for any plumbing job. He is very courteous and I will most definitely be using his services again.
