I've been to a few other local places over the past couple of years and was not satisfied with the service so I was looking for a new lawnmower service and repair shop. I found Caliber here on Angie's list and emailed them for information. I got a quick response. I brought my lawnmower in the next day and the problem was diagnosed properly and the work was done quickly and at a fair price. I am super happy with this company and highly recommend!

We dropped off the equipment and we were immediately impressed when after a quick look at the gasoline chainsaw it was pointed out that the chain had been installed improperly.  We left both chainsaws and were told that repairs were typically running a week. 
We were pleasantly surprised when just a couple of days later we received a telephone call that they had rebuilt the gasoline chainsaw carburetor.  Unfortunately, the electric chainsaw had a burned out motor and the parts were no longer available.  We picked up the repaired chainsaw a couple of days later and left the electric one for recycling.  We asked if the chain had been installed properly, but it was not, so at no extra cost the technician immediately made the repair while we waited.  In addition, we were given a thorough description of the proper fuel to use and where to get it so that we would not experience similar issues in the future.  The entire process took less than a week.  We were impressed with the service and would highly recommend Caliber Lawn and Garden.

It was great. It was always really good. They're very attentive to what they are doing. They don't try to sell you stuff you don't need. They are basically honest. The prices are good. Without a doubt, I would use them again.

My first experience with Caliber...I scheduled routine maintenance on my riding lawnmower during their busiest time of the season.  I was happy to be able to continue using it while being on the wait list with a 5.5 week backlog.  After being on the list for 5 weeks, I checked back and inquired when I could bring in the mower of which I had just hit a root and made it inoperable.  Though they were working through the backlog, they accommodated my mower because it no longer worked.  I appreciate the human aspect they offer in accommodating someone whose mower broke vs. seasonal tuneup.  They got me out of a bind in about a week's time.  I have since returned for additional service when running over another root.  There was no backlog that time and my mower was back in action 6 days later.  It's a really good crew and I plan to continue bringing my equipment to them for many years to come.

I called Caliber in desperate need of a quick fix for my portable generator as it was needed at Lake Anna to power a boat hoist. Dropped it off in the morning and was able to pick it up that afternoon. Generator starts right up and runs great. Also, everyone there was very pleasant to deal with and seemed sincere in their efforts to help.

Overall very good service at a reasonable price. Knew that spring would be a busy time so called in early March for scheduling. Very prompt and inexpensive pick up. It took longer than the initial two week estimate because the late season snows caused a surge in snowblower/generator repairs that they had to do. Slightly frustrating as the time estimates kept extending, but part of this is trying to plan ahead for a very seasonal service. When the equipment got back, both pieces absolutely looked like new and ran better than new. If you have a bit of patience and plan ahead for unanticipated delays, they provide excellent service at a good price. Folks on the phone always returned calls and were always extremely nice. Definitely worth the extra time.
