Very responsive to questions and wonderful communication to keep us abreast of work. Workers were punctual and extremely helpful. Lawn looks amazing!!

Brookstein replaced our front walk and fixed a star set that was on a sinking pad. Very pleased with the work and Joe is very professional and kept us apprised every step of the way. Really good communication and customer service. I would use them again.

This was, quite honestly, the best experience I have ever had with a contractor. Joe was hands on from the very beginning, spending lots of time helping us with layout and design choices (listen to his suggestions!) Once work began, Joe called every day, without fail, to inform us what was done today and what the plan was for tomorrow. We ran into a few hiccups due to the odd layout of our backyard, but Joe's suggestions on how to work around these issues were spot on. As the project came to a close, his crew even weeded and mulched our backyard flower bed (without our asking) just so the whole area looked nice once they were finished. The end result was quite stunning. If you need hardscape work done in your yard, just call these guys, you won't regret it. We plan on having them back next summer to landscape and replace our front walkway.

Joe Brookstein personally oversaw the project from beginning to end.  He and his team are professional and punctual.  I liked that  he has examples of the stones and pavers so you can see the colors and patterns set out in walkways.  He had great suggestions and answered all of our questions.  He completed the project on time and on budget! I like that he is local and truly cares about his business and his customers.

Brookstein services does absolutely top-notch work, with a very high level of attention to detail. Joe Brookstein was involved personally throughout the planning and execution of our project. He provided good input during the planning process on the material that was going to be used, and helped us plan the size and shape for our new deck, which replaced an old deck that was too small. Joe was also involved throughout project execution, and was very responsive when issues came up.
Joe's team did beautiful work throughout the project, and they were always responsive when something needed some extra attention, or there were problems to be addressed.
Joe's team was able to fit in additional landscaping work that we identified during the project on a very short turn-around.
The end result is a beautiful new pool deck that we will be enjoying for many years to come.

We were very impressed with Joe Brookstein. The first time he came out he listened to what we wanted. He helped with suggestions on how it could be done. His workers did a fantastic job and Joe would come almost every afternoon to make sure everything was the way we wanted I felt I could call Joe at any time. When his workers were placing the stones for the walkway Joe came by and he noticed some of the stones were not placed to his liking, so they replaced the ones that were not right. While they were building the the flower beds, my husband wanted to install drip lines so we requested that they put a pipe in so we could run the water lines to the other side of the stoop. It was a joy to work with Joe and his team of workers. Their work was GREAT! I would recommend them to anyone, we will definitely hire Joe Brookstein again without question.

Joe Brookstein takes the most detail-oriented, professional approach to home improvement contracting that I have ever experienced. He did a detailed walkthrough with line-item cost estimate so that I knew exactly what he would do, how he would do it, and what each portion of the project would cost. Every day his team arrived much earlier than I have come to expect in this area. They worked consistently throughout the day. Each day the site was cleaned and secured at the end of the day. Mr. Brookstein would work around my schedule to provide a daily walkthrough of progress, issues, and the next phase.
At the end of the job, the exterior of my home was transformed, and it was a joy to look out on it. Our neighbor subsequently had work done by the same team, and I am equally thrilled with the view across the street.
Mr. Brookstein's prices may not be the lowest available, the the level of service was supreme, and all costs very well explained. I would not hesitate to use Brookstein Services for similar work in the future!

Joe is very knowledgeable. He gave a detailed estimate as to what everything would cost. He did a walk through with me before the job started to let me know how the work was going to be performed. His employees were very hard working and very polite. Joe called me everyday and told me in detail as to what was being done. He answered all my questions. The patio looks fantastic. I will be using Brookstein Services for some landscaping work as well.

Super! I can't say enough good about Joe Brookstein and his professional approach to this task. Of note, we offered six different vendors the opportunity to bid on this job. Of the six, Joe's estimate was #2 in price (about 10% less than the most expensive estimate). But it wasn't price that caused us to select Joe. It was Joe. During the planning/estimating phase he was sensitive to our design ideas and offered easy to understand counsel on design and materials that served to shape how the project plan evolved. Further, Joe explained in great detail exactly how he was going to complete the work highlighting why and how the materials and construction techniques he bid were going to result in a high quality job. Joe is very knowledgeable, confident and eager to ensure that we would be satisfied with the job. Once work began, our decision to use Joe Brookstein was affirmed in several ways. First, Joe was on the job site every day, maybe only for an hour on some days, but he never let a day close without an inspection visit to satisfy himself that the work was unfolding the way he wanted it to be done. He was the only contractor who had a porta-potty delivered to the job site so that his workers didn't have to come into the house and use our bathroom (not that we would have objected). But Joe said that it was his policy to use the porta-potty. In addition, all of his staff were in a Brookstein Services workshirt/uniform all day, every day. Second only to the fine job was the fact that, when Joe encountered an issue or construction challenge/question, he brought us outside to explain the problem and offer us alternative courses of action to fix the problem. Joe initially estimated two weeks to get the job done - front and back of our house. Joe's work crews (one for the front of the house, one for the back) arrived by 7:30 AM every day except one (it rained that day) and they quit about 5:30 PM. They went out of their way to ensure that the construction process didn't affect any aspect of our property to the extent of laying tarps on the drive for the wheel barrow traffic from front to back. At the end of every work day the entire job site was cleaned, swept and tarped (to protect the unfolding construction site from overnight rain). Not only are we convinced that we've received a well built addition to our home, we've found a contractor who we can trust for future landscaping work. Joe Brookstein and his staff are worth every penny they earn.

The owner was very hands on during our entire project and was always available for questions or concerns. In addition, all employees of Brookstein Services were hard working and courteous. We added several small patios, lighting and natural stone stairs to the project. The changes we added were handled easily and without hassle. Everything (including pricing) was always explained in detail so that there were no surprises. We would and have used Brookstein Services again for other projects. It is nice to work with a company that cares about what they do. Brookstein Services gets an A+ in our book!
