We were referred to BM & Michaels through our home warranty company. We thought things were off to a good start after our diagnostic visit. Brian spent some time to actually identify the problem with our AC. However, things took a turn when they came back to do the work. They were replacing our evaporator coil. Some of the charges were not covered by the warranty company, and we would have a bill at the end of service. When Brian and the other technician finished up their work and it came time to settle up, Brian simply wrote a total on the invoice. We requested an itemized bill, which neither of us thought this was an unreasonable request. Not only do we want to know what we paid for, but we also keep detailed home maintenance records. Brain was apparently highly offended by this request, stating that his colleague would have to figure this out because he did not have time to 'stand here and renegotiate with us.' I would like to point out that the total we came to once the itemized bill was calculated was $109 more than the number Brian had written on the invoice originally. However, since this included all items we agreed to before service, this is the amount we paid. Nevertheless, shortly after they departed, my husband received a call and voicemail from Brian stating that they did not care for the 'commotion' that arose about the bill, so at this point, thank you for our business, but in the future please seek services elsewhere. I completely understand it is the right of a company to choose who to work for, but this seems a little irrational to me. We were not rude and our request was not unreasonable. To add insult to injury, the installation was exceptionally terrible. About 2 hours after they left, when the temperature was not improving in our house, we went to check the HVAC closet. Air was blowing out of every edge of the coil case, leaving our outdoor HVAC closet cooler than the inside of our house. Please do yourself a favor, and seek the services of a reputable, well established company who will not balk at your request for an itemized work order and who will be held accountable for the work they have been paid to complete.

I got them through a home warranty company. They responded the same day and came the next morning first thing. We had already had one company out here who had suggested a new unit. We have had a recurring problem since another company was out here for something totally different. Brian came out and he is a genius! He walked me through everything he was doing and boy did I learn a lot. He kept me laughing too. After running many tests-last guy just looked at it-he discovered there was too much freon in it. As soon as he took some out it worked perfectly. First guys added freon. What a relief that it is now fixed and ready for winter. I will be calling on Brian for all of my HVAC needs from now on. He is so thorough and wants you to understand your unit. The company is very responsive and quick. Thanks so much B.M & Michaels. Thanks Mary for such fast service.You are so great!
