We had our roof replaced which included removal of the shingles down to the plywood, installation of drip edge, ice &
water shield along gutter line, 30 lb felt paper new GAF Archetectural Lifetime shingles, new pipe collars, shingle
vent, leaf guards, plus all cleanup to include magnets to collect any nails or metal fragments that may have fallen in the yard. We were lucky enough to not need any plywood replaced. They also replaced the roof on our shed to match the house. They replaced all 4 windows on the front of the house and one small bathroom window on the side of the house.
This is a smaller, family owned business. They are very nice and professional to speak with. We dealt with Tracie over the phone and via email to schedule an estimate and she and her husband came out to the house twice. They are no b*******. They don't try to sell you things you don't need. They give you the honest truth and don't try to bleed money out of you. I honestly felt as though my relatives drove down from Pennsylvania to give me an estimate. "Sure, I can give you new gutters if you really want them, but you honestly don't need them." Gotta love that in a business! That's something that's rare here in Northern Virginia. We had 2 other estimates that were almost DOUBLE what we paid with Advantage Home Improvements. Another company basically tried to tell us that our roof was about to cave in. 
You really can't beat their prices in this area and they've been roofing for a lifetime. I highly recommend them. At least call them for a meeting and an estimate. They're honest and genuine people who do great work for a great price. 
They are also very pet friendly. We have a dog that they didn't mind wandering around or barking at them while they were working.

It was fine. They fixed the problem. They do a good job and they stand by their work. Since their caused the problem to start with I would not grade them higher than and ldquo;Band rdquo;. Since they did the roof 10 years ago and they came in and fixed a problem that caused us nothing I would say the price is pretty good. The original person I talked to was not very responsive but when the son came out and took a little look at it he jumped right on it.

As the contractor that had installed our roof a few years ago, we contacted them when an anomaly was pointed out during installation of upgraded gutters and leaf guards. After some initial reservation they came out, repaired the area in question at no cost.

The quote was developed in conjunction with myself. Materials were provided in advance for inspection and approval. All work was started on time and completed within time.

The quote was originally done over the summer as we were looking to get the best value for the money.  In September, when we determined who our top two contractors were, we asked for a refreshed quote.  Their quote was the best value and we moved forward with the work. 

They scheduled the work and were on time.  Even though their business was based 45+ miles from our house, there was never an issue with them starting on time and they also finished the roof in the timeframe indicated, even with a major problem at the start.  Upon starting to remove the shingles they found that the house was originally built without roof underlayment.  It had 1x6 boards spaced out to meet what was needed for the wood shingles.  They called immediately and explained the problem.    They explained why they hadn't determined it prior to starting.  None of the quoting contractors had identified that there was no roof underlayment  (there were 4 other contractors that inspected and bid on the project). 

They gave me a worst case quote for the underlayment and moved forward on the job.  The time to finish was not affected by the added scope, to add nearly 100 4x8 underlayment sheets.  Upon completion, they cleaned up the yard, took away all the construction debry and made sure the outside looked like there was never any construction.

Upon receiving the final cost, it was a pleasant surprise that they were able to come in over $500 less than their worst case estimate for the underlayment.  

Terrific experience! The estimate was provided quickly by the company's owner. He came on site and also engaged in a good conversation about the job. While he didn't promise that the skylight could be saved, he said they would definitely try. They were successful. The roof and the new flashing around the skylights looks great.

The crew was large enough that the job was completed in one day, and the yard was spotless afterward. Everyone was very professional and pleasant.

I subsequently hired the company to install new siding on my house and was very pleased with that as well. I've posted a review under siding.

the houseThe visit for the estimate was done the day after I called. The planned worked provided was very detailed and the price both competitive and reasonable. The crew was there promptly at 8 AM three days in a row and worked steadily through each day. Everyone was courteous and professional, plus left the area around the house spotless.

I am VERY pleased by the look of the final job. It's a pleasure to wander around the yard and see my and quot;newand quot; house. A quality job that really made a difference!!
