The company did not seek nor ask for my permission to take a hammer to the lid. I asked the company to return my $285.00 and they have agreed. The lid is no longer available in inventory and cannot be replaced. Therefore, I must now spend more money to replace the dryer than planned costing approximately $450.00. The dryer was serviceable until A 2 Z Appliance rendered it unserviceable with the hammer as a fix. This was totally incompetent and poor judgment of the company. I feel that I was taken advantage of and that the company disrespected me as a person and has no respect for personal property. Customers are warned that you are at risk in using this company due to their poor judgment, and disregard for people's property.
Fast forward now to May 2014. My A/C unit is not turning on, so I've taken a cover off only to realize that the technician put the wrong size capacitor on my unit in 2012. My unit requires a 440 volt, and he place a 370 volt capacitor on the system. He insisted it needed a new capacitor even though I had replaced the one two days prior, and then he puts the wrong one on.
Save yourselves money and clean your system yourself annually. I learned the hard way. A can of coil cleaner is $5 at a hardware store. You spray the foam on the coils, and a few minutes later, wash it off with your water hose. A capacitor is, at most, $20-$25 and takes less than 15 minutes to take the old one off and put the new one on.
Prompt, courteous, professional, and honest.
