This review is late and I should have posted this sooner. We used Heaven Sent the first week of Oct 2015. At first, Heaven Sent seemed like a decent service. He was quick to respond with a reasonable estimate when we called which was better than many other services that we called who said they would get back to us with estimates/prices etc and never did including Arbor Tree Service.
Our first clue should have been when we asked for a copy of his license and insurance and he had to go rummaging through his vehicle to find a paid bill. He clearly was not organized and didn?t appear to have his act together. We try to help out the small businesses get started and he seemed anxious and polite and assured us there would not be an issue.
We had a total of 5 trees removed and not all of them were in the easiest of locations. We asked about preparations that we needed to do and especially with our Koi pond since one of the trees was located adjacent to it. He said that they would handle everything including covering them with a piece of plywood over it to protect it.
He said they would clean up their work afterwards. We also asked for some of the trees to be left behind so that we could cut it up for firewood.
In the end, we were so upset that we did not even want him back at our house to even attempt to correct his mistakes. Our Koi pond was NEVER covered and left as a slick oily mess with what we scooped out to be over 6 inches of wood chips. Our Koi?s life depended on us not waiting for him to return but when contacted he text back and said that he thought they had done a good job and had scooped the pond twice. We worked from the time we returned from work at 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm that night in the dark and the next morning from 08:00 until noon working on cleaning the Koi pond alone. The next two days were spent cleaning up the mess left behind. The clean-up work had a lot to be desired and he damaged our yard from the many divets left due to the limbs that were dropped to the ground. In the end, there were trees we asked to be left behind that he took.
I am adding pictures so you can draw your own conclusions. We will never use him again.
