Scrupulous Care

sam is terrific - have had him do work for me on three different occasions in the past three years - reasonable rates, easy to talk to and he is very pleasant when working in the yard - he is always there at the beginning and the end of the job, sam provided the trees which I of course had to pay for but he knew exactly what I wanted

This is the second time we've called Scrupulous Care to provide service in our yard. As with the first time, they arrived on time, worked hard until the job was done and cleaned up every bit of debris from the work area. I changed my mind about the layout in the middle of the project, and Sam agreed, without hesitation, to the changes. When the work was complete, Sam walked through the every aspect of the project before leaving the job to make sure that we were satisfied. We were. It looks beautiful, and we will definitely call Scrupulous Care the next time we need landscaping.

I accepted Sam Greene's estimate of $855 (5% off his actual $900 estimate because of my Angie's List membership). A tad over 3 weeks after my original request (including adding items after conferring with another provider), Sam came to work alongside his crew, and they completed all the work listed above and cleaned up and raked in 2-1/2 hours.
I was extremely pleased by Sam's responsiveness, his work, and his price and almost wished I'd asked for more! I definitely would use Scrupulous Care for tree and lawn service again.

Sam came out and gave us a bid one Monday and scheduled the work to be done the following Friday. He showed up for the free estimate on time, and he and his crew showed up right on time the day they scheduled. Before beginning work, he verified exactly what I wanted done and checked with me periodically when they were shaping the oaks to make sure that what I asked for was achieving the look I had hoped for. They were even willing to make a last minute addition to the work that was scheduled. They did a beautiful job and cleaned up every twig and leaf that fell in the process.
My husband and I have always done everything ourselves, and we are just now trying to hire professionals to do some work around the house. We have been shocked by how long it has taken most professionals to call us back or to get back to us with estimates. It was a pleasure to work with someone so responsive and careful. I will definitely recommend Scrupulous Care to friends who require tree service.

They did excellent work and were very courteous. Sam, the project manager, was very punctual when coming out for the estimate as well as for the work itself. He listened to our needs and had a very practical and professional approach to his interactions with us as a client. We would definitely use them again. They also do other landscaping work.

We had got four bids for the same job and they were 60 percent less than the other ones and they were the most responsive. We had a good experience getting quotes from the other companies but I saw them on Angie's List and they had good reviews. I really liked working with the woman. She actually ended up doing more than some of the other bids and it was really nice working with her. Her team was great. It will be interesting to see how everything lasts through the winter. They were very upfront in telling me that the dogwood they moved may not make it through the next year since it had already gone through a lot of stress with the sewer replacement and I understand that. They were very upfront and honest about what could and may not happen about things in our yard. I cannot see where they could have improved. I really thought that they went above and beyond because, as they were doing things, I noticed other things that I wanted done and they immediately did those and I don't think that they charged me for those last minute things. In fact, they were less than I expected. I hadn't originally asked them to pull out the large yew and they pulled that and the price was not bad at all. They did the job as promised. We couldn't get the sod in early because it was raining but they immediately called and kept me updated as much as they could. They were very professional. They were a great find.

UPDATED ON 03/25/2012:

This is an update to the most recent phone report on Scrupulous. I am beyond pleased with the results of Scrupulous' work. I was happy when it was completed, but now... seeing the result of their work in the spring- WOW. Plus, the dogwood lived (they warned us that it might not survive another stressful move). I'm happy to recommend this company to friends and family.

Everything went very well. They were very professional, came on the day they said they would and left my yard looking just as it had before, minus the tree.
