Weed Man - Winchester

I wanted to invest in my lawn because it was full of weeds and the bugs were aweful in the summer and fall also crab grass was popping up in the back yard especially. Weed man has been great so far. They have treated my lawn 4 times throughout the summer. They let me know before they come and the weeds have been significantly reduced. The crab grass is gone. The bugs are much better. Some new weeds came in so they just recently treated them. Pleased with the service so far. They are very nice to talk with and happy to answer questions.

The sign of a great service provider is consistent service over an extended period of time. I contracted with Weed Man of Winchester in 2013 and until this year they did a great job and my lawn looked great. I even recommended them to some of my neighbors. This year they changed my technician and a great looking lawn turned into a source of frustration. Treatments were being done in half the time and the results showed. Even after paying for pre-emergent treatment in early spring I had more crabgrass then ever before. When I contacted the general manager he did respond but proceeded to tell me what I was doing wrong. Sorry Weed Man but I pride myself in maintaining a pristine lawn. You may be able to spout off chemical names but your customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

"Technician" stomped through a wet plantation of new grass (so heavily his footprints are still there after two weeks), pushed his spreader through it, and, instead of avoiding the clearly defined just-planted area, put a chemical compound for mature grass on the just-sprouting new grass in one section of our lawn.  Anyone who has a yard knows that you do not use chemical treatments on new grass just sprouting--and you don't stomp through it, either.  And while the treatment certainly killed the new grass (kiss $600 of Scott's mix goodbye), it didn't stop the spread of weeds in my back lawn.  Just a mess, and not even an apology from Weed Man.  Now we understand that the people hired to spread the treatment are not doctoral candidates on summer break, but the individual at least should have been instructed never to put down the treatment on new grass beds.  Company disinterested in problem when I first called two weeks ago.  Only glad I didn't sign a contract, but tried them out first.  I paid my final bill--not worth the fuss--and instructed "Brandy" that I do not want to see any of their employees on my property again.  I had been warned against using Weed Man, but, foolishly, I ignored the warning.

I really enjoy the company. I like the fact that they call me before they come so it gives me a chance that I can prepare if I am going to receive the service or my lawn should cut before they perform the service and gets the time to do it and they had no problem scheduling. They are very knowledgeable. My lawn has never looked better. I lived here for 13 years and I have used number of services and Weed Man by far has taken the best care of my lawn. It has been green thick lush just the way I like it. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

They provide a quick service. The price is fair. They have good results.

The service was very good and the lawn did well. I am just not happy with their billing administration. They had a lot of problems and I think they might have replaced the system but it was too much of a hassle and I think i will go with somebody else. I got all kinds of phone calls from an automated system saying that I hadn’t paid. It was all messed up. They called quite a few times saying they would be coming another day and it isn’t a big deal with this type of service now. The service was good but the billing administration was a hassle.

They have been pretty responsive in following up with us if we have a problem or issue and they actually to retreat in the fall they didn't charge us for that service because we continued with the problem. They were just showing up without notifying us and they also dropped their prices.

We have contracted with Weedman since March of 2013.
Just recently we were concerned about how the "spring lawn" was coming in.  Especially given the incredible amount of precipitation and sun during March/April.  When we called customer service with our concerns regarding "straw" and dry patches we had discovered.  They immediately scheduled a site visit to our residence. In fact a "manager/supervisor" came out with another technician to thoroughly review our situation.  Free of charge, they assessed that my lawn needed another reseeding application.  True to their 100% satisfaction guarantee, our grass is a beautiful shade of green and the straw has gone away. 
Many times they have also applie weed killer to some our our landscaping areas where weeds can appear from time to time.

I started using Weed Man last year and my lawn has never looked better and believe me I have tried a number of lawn services over the last 12 years.

That went very well and I am very pleased with them.  They are very patient.  They answer all your questions with great detail.  They are very pleasant people to work with.  They are dependable and show up when they said they will.  They have a good product.

The first time they came, it didn't seem like they sprayed long enough or did the back yard.  I called about this and they explained the process didn't take long.  The weeds did die but I really was not impressed overall.  I cancelled the service due to budgetary concerns.

It has been such a short time, and I have only had them for a couple of weeks, but I have been very impressed. I looked on Angie's List and they had been recommended, and so I tried them out. I had three bids and I thought Weed Man was the best. I have had very limited experience with them so far.

We like them. We have been using them for a while. I like the way our lawn looks now. I was very satisfied with their service.

I like that you can pay at the beginning of the year and they will come out automatically. I feel like it is a reasonable price for the service provided.
