It was quite difficult or us to figure out what we wanted and how the fireplace spaces in our old house would need to be prepared. Knowing the difficulty of the job, Brian recommended I get an expert, a friend of his, to look at the situation. This person came by and helped tremendously without charge. (He was from Frederick Block in Winchester.)
Nora and Brian worked very closely with my wife and me to pick the right stoves, to get the stoves in and installed in a timely manner, even though it was just before Xmas, and an especially busy period for them.
The installation included chimney work, gas hook-up, and stove and remote adjustment.
Brian did the work quickly - one day - and absolutely flawlessly in terms of both appearance and performance. We are into the second season now, and we have had simply no problems. In the meantime, Nora and Brian have been quick to answer any questions.
It turned out we were missing a maintenance part. This was swiftly replaced without cost or hassle. I consider this incident to be the icing on the cake, so to speak. Brian and Nora are a professional, top quality team, and we feel their prices are absolutely fair.
We looked at other suppliers for this work, but none came close to making the same impression Gas Store, Inc., made. Were we to need further work of any kind that they do, we would go straight back to them.
Nora was clearly the most helpful.
I had a long conversation with Brian about the technicalities and difficulties involved. He recommended I check with a contact of his at Frederick Stone. I did that, and again, thanks to that contact, felt we would be able to proceed.
Nora and Brian went out of their way to try to get our work done as soon as possible so we could move into the house we had already purchased.
Brian completed all the work on the day promised. He was efficient and friendly.
As it turned out, fireplace doors we had ordered were not the correct ones. However, we found that we really didn't want or need those doors, so we just cancelled that part of the order and saved several hundred dollars. Brian and Nora did not quibble with this, and it really worked to our advantage.
They were also cooperative in working out the payment schedule.
