I went to this shop because they had offered to do my inspection quickly; which they did. I also have had service done at the shop: ball joints replaced, new battery, and wiper blades. They were timely, and did the job well. In addition, they back the work that they do, and the products that they sell. Finally, they are AAA approved. The only grip I had was that the price for the above work cost a little more that I would have paid elsewhere. But, that is the price you pay for good work.

I have gone to Minnicks quite a few times and for different things. I have never had any problems with their work. During the inspections if something is wrong they always let me know and then if they can fix it on the spot they will. I have also used their towing service and they were very prompt on coming to my aid.

Minnick's is a AAA authorized towing service. My wife's car had a flat, and we needed the car towed to replace the tire. Glass had cut the sidewall. They came promptly, expertly towed the car to Tire Outfitters, and we had the tire replaced.

Recently bought a well used 13 yr old car for my son at college to use around town since he was living off campus. Ken at Minnicks was very helpuful and understanding of the situation of not wanting to go overboard on an old car but needind a safe vehicle for my son. With me in Chicago trying to get this done over the phone between my son and Minnicks I feel like we were treated with honesty and fairness. I would highly recommend Minnicks to anyone and will have them do any need future work.

I had a flat tire; got the lug nuts off; got the car jacked up; couldn't
get the tire off of the car. Called Minnicks Garage which was only a
few blocks away from where I was parked. The guy showed up promptly and
took a big block of wood and struck the tire from the underside and it
came on off. He put the donut on but it was FLAT, too! He pumped up the
donut.
All in all, he was there about 20 minutes. He asked if
the dispatcher had quoted me a price and I said no. He asked how I
wanted to pay! I said 'how much'. He said $65.!!!! I asked if he took
credit cards and he said no. So I paid him cash. He started to leave. I
asked and quot;Aren't you going to give me a receipt?and quot; He said and quot;do you want
one?and quot; I said and quot;yesand quot;! So he gave me a receipt for the $65.
Now --
what do you think he would have written on the ticket if I hadn't
insisted on a receipt??? Any guess as to what garage I won't
call if I ever need help again???

They still will not release our car, because the insurance company has not paid the bill and they are requiring CASH.  The bill goes up every day for storage.  We are not responsible for the accident, the other party was found responsible by Winchester Police Dept., but we keep getting a run around with Minnick's about getting the car.

They are really good. They were quick. I drove the car down there and within a few hours it was ready. They are quick, reasonably priced and honest. The staff is friendly.

I have owned this 1996 Ford Explorer since it was brand new. This is a 1996 Ford Explorer but it was built in late 1995 just after the model year change over. This has been a great vehicle. The only bad problem that I have had with this vehicle is with the center brake light. The center brake light is very very expensive to repair when it quits working. Ford only used this type of center brake light for a short time in Ford Explorers. Ford changed to a better and cheaper center brake light system for it's Explorers.
The air conditioner system repair or recharging was a very easy repair for Minnick's. Minnick's did not try to stretch the repair or create new repairs, they just recharged the A/C system.
I keep this vehicle, and all of my vehicles, in the best condition possible. I keep many of my vehicles for many many miles. My Ford F-150 4X4, a 2001 model, has over 190,000 miles on it now. My younger son's 2002 Dodge Dakota has over 104,000 miles on it and my older son's 1999 Chevy 4X4 pickup has over 140,000 miles on it. I take great pains to take care of these vehicles and prevent problems. It is rare that we get stranded out on the road, very rare.

They are excellent. We took it to 3 different places, one place which was a dealership who told us it would be $1000. We took it to Minnicks and it ended up being $486, much cheaper than others.
