Little Darlings Daycare

Jenna is the ABSOLUTE best option in the Winchester area. She is conveniently located for commuters on Route 7 and is located in a quiet neighborhood setting. Her home is one story with a HUGE playroom and kid-friendly set up - no stairs, lots of toys and baby-proofed beyond compare. Her house is probably safer than my own right now! A huge fenced yard with space for the kids to run and play completes the ultimate kiddie setting! She's also registered with the State, which means she's had a background check and they do periodic home visits - that helped me feel better for the first few weeks of daycare. She participates in the State's programming which gives her an allottment to provide healthy meals and snacks for the kids. That has been a HUGE help to me because if I had to remember baby food and snacks on top of everything else, I don't know what I'd do. She only watches a few children at a time so they each get special care and one-on-one time with a mom (she has a 3 year old so she's been there!). Most importantly, she is great with the kids. Her daycare feels more like a family and I have never once been worried about my baby while she's been at Miss. Jenna's house! My daughter is extremely attached to me and Jenna is just about the only other person who can soothe her. I interviewed a lot of daycare providers in the area and none of them did much with the kids, even some of the centers just put the infants in cribs and said "good enough." Some of the in-home care providers seemed to plop the kids in front of the TV all day - not here! She does educational tasks with the kids, helped get my daughter on a schedule and also helps her hit her baby "milestones." With the older kids she does crafts and helps them learn shapes/colors/etc. I even received my first mother's day card and valentine while my daughter has been here! Very special and still on the fridge :) I pay $195 a week which some people might think is high, but it's the same as the some of the more reputable centers around here and instead of being in a daycare factory all day, my baby gets to be in a home, with a mom who will snuggle her and treat her like one of her own. (The rates are different for other aged children, mine is 9 months old, see her website for more info). For the care my daughter is getting, I'm pretty sure I'm not paying her enough! Daycare was not something I was willing to skimp on and Jenna is the cream of the crop!
