COMPLETE RESTORATION SVC of Winchester Inc

We experienced a fire at our mountain cabin and our insurance agent referred Complete Restoration Services (CRS). From the moment that the owner Fred Dudley and his crew started work, we experienced only high-grade results and complete professionalism. After the fire, the basement was gutted and CRS started from scratch to restore the house. Fred and his team were a pleasure to work with, and the quality of their work was top-notch. The job was often delayed by the awful winter weather (which made the roads impassible), but they worked as quickly as they could to make up for it. We included some upgrades to the house, including building a new to delinate a bedroom, and removing existing floors (untouched by the fire) and replacing them with new laminate. They replaced the dropped ceiling and the paneled walls with new drywall. New tile was installed in the bathrooms, and room was made for a larger shower in one bath. And the quality of work was A+! Fred was extremely accommodating, and his team went far beyond an average remodel. His painter James, did the most incredible paint job I have ever seen. The tile work and the new fixtures were beautiful. Before they finished, every area was cleaned and shined. My husband and I were so impressed! The house has never looked this good, and I know that his work will increase the value of our home. Fred and his team were very communicative; Fred would check in with us regularly with updates or concerns. And he was always available when I called him. We could not have asked for a better experience. He and his wife even brought us flowers at the final walkthrough! I would wholeheartedly endorse CRS. The did beautiful work and completed it in a timely, professional manner. Thank you, CRS for restoring our home.

Eager to get the work and was verbally cooperative. But, actually when it came down to the quality and time it was well below satisfactory. Employees wasted time and performed below standards. Serious electrical safety issues (Don't run the microwave at the same time the light is on in the dining room). Low cost supplies were purchased and used whenever possible. Sub-contracted jobs were not reviewed by the general contractor for standards and quality. Warranty after-the-fact issues failed to happen. Always got a voice mail from Fred Dudley (owner) that sounded like he cared and asked to "bear with him" but he failed to follow up or follow through. I still have the voice mail recording of owner of company (Fred Dudley) asking me to "bear with him" and he would get to the repairs as soon as possible. That was six months ago. Have not heard from him since. Over view of job: Repair Fire Damaged Single Family Home. The Insurance Company - Augusta Mutual via their claims adjustor (Joe Buckner) had this company CRS on the scene before you could blink. It is in my opionion that this was no coincidence. From start to finish, there were many unnecessary teardowns and less than equal quality replacement items. (ie: quality of wood for flooring and kitchen cabinets). Work took too long to complete. Examples of poor and unacceptable work still in need of repair include but not limited to...bath tub not level and tub enclosure not properly installed as there is a water leak that is damaging the drywall in the bathroom. Cannot use the built in microwave oven with any other light on that shares the same breaker. Laminate flooring cut too short and there are gaps between floor and wall. Exterior guttering not hung properly to ensure correct water drainage. Underside covering of exterior porch overhang not properly installed (buckled and wavy). Excessive nail pops coming out and visable seams in drywall. Safety concerns: Electrical outlets are installed over baseboard heating units. *Note the amount spent was paid for by Augusta Mutual Insurance Company.
