Excellent installation and experience overall. Very happy with the 20' x 20' stamped concrete backyard patio.

Installed a contoured patio and a shed foundation for my wife and me. Jim was great working with us to get just what we wanted. Actually did the work earlier than expected which was super. Came out looking really great. Workers were very knowledgeable, courteous, friendly. Very pleased with results and team.

There's not many people out there that do stamped concrete repairs, but I am glad I found Blackwater. They were responsive and actually came and looked at the job the day I called them. This allowed them to provide advice that dramatically reduced the cost of the repair.

This company is top notch! I interviewed about ten companies and decided on Blackwater. They did not disappoint! I highly recommend them for any of your concrete projects!

Very responsive. Best price of all the quotes I received. The other vendors quoted more for regular poured concrete. Blackwater created a great stamped concrete walkway for less. They did what they said they would do. They were even ahead of schedule from the original timeline. I would definitely consider them for any future concrete work.

Attention to detail was good at first but as the job neared completion, the detail went down hill. Would pay attention to all aspects of the job prior to and end of project.

We love our walkway and new steps. Throughout our project, there were details that we brought up - Blackwater had already identified potential issues and had plans to resolve. They were truly professional and a pleasure to work with.

They installed an unusable patio due to excessive slope. They said they would help with a redesign but to date nothing except a $17,000 quote to redo the whole thing. They maintained that they were only hired to pour concrete. Because the concrete forms were installed by another contractor (who never came back) Blackwater Concrete claims that the slope was not their problem. Regardless, they did not inform us that the slope did not meet Virginia construction standards for a patio before they poured. Only after we realized that the slope made our patio unusable did they say that we only hired them to pour concrete. They are the experts and we are the consumers/ homeowners. I have given them 3 months to resolve this problem. Nothing to date. I highly recommend that you NOT use this company.

Things went very well and the cost of the work completed was definitely a fair price. There some issues along the way that were handled appropriately. I do feel there could have been a little better fine tuning of the work in certain areas, but overall I'm very pleased. I would definitely hire Blackwater again for any needed concrete work.

Blackwater turned out to be the A Team in every way. From the time the sales rep arrived and started discussing the project there was a difference in professionalism and expertise. He looked at the entire project. During my decision phase there were quick answers to questions but never any pressure. There was always an air of openness and honesty about what they could do and what they could not provide. Things only got better from there. They arrived on the job exactly according to plan and schedule. As I saw small changes in design they were immediately on the ball with working to make the final job a success. The entire team is trained, organized and work harder than anything I have experienced. The final job is truly outstanding and beyond all of my expectations. The addition has made my whole house look outstanding and the backyard is a place the whole family wish to go out at night and enjoy. This is by far the best experience I have had with a contractor in every way. Great job. You cannot go wrong with this team.

Hired them to stain and seal 500 sf of concrete. We took them to another location to show them what we wanted. Not only was the end product not close to what we asked for (and they admitted it was not) they caused $1,100 in damage to the surrounding walls, doors and door frames. Later we found additional damage to the adjacent floors. We have been waiting for them to come back and correct the work, no calls and no show. Our advise, don't use this company. You will be over charged, not get what you asked for and possibly have to deal with damage like we did.

These guys were responsive and did a quality job for a fair price. They did encounter one issue that could have been resolved with a better solution, but did work things out to my satisfaction. I would hire Chris and his team again.
