Exceptional service, responsive, knowledgable, friendly, fair. Fox Rockwell responded promptly to our initial inquiry phone call. He showed up to our house for the estimate AND delivered top-quality work within the time frame we were looking for. He cares more about his service and quality of work than the bottom line. We went with him, after obtaining multiple estimates, because this was evident and he overdelivered. A certified arborist and experienced climber, he knew what to eliminate to provide maximum curb apeal while making proper arborist cuts to protect the life of the tree. He does not use spikes to climb up the trees -- be sure you inquire about this when you get your quotes. He insisted that we be 100% happy with the quality of his work before he left. My wife is very picky so we appreciated this. When she did the final and thorough walkthrough afterwards, he had surpassed any expectations we had going into the day. He even sawed off several and quot;nubsand quot; where prior tree services had left a good foot to make a proper arborist cut. This was just something he did to prevent an eyesore. We were very satisfied customers. We will not hesitate to recommend Williamsburg Tree Service to our closest friends!

Great service at a great price. The work was done professionally with no damage to any other trees or plants. They did a superb job of cleaning up after the work. In fact the area looked better than when they started. They paid attention to small details such as covering our air conditioning unit so sawdust would not get into the unit. They were carful in removing the all the tree material so as not to damage our lawn. They carried everything out by hand or hand cart so as not to run machinary over our property.
I would definately have this company do work for me again.

In June we had called the owner of the company whom we had used last year after the hurricane to come out and look at a tree that was leaning dangerously. He recommended we take it down. When I called the Homeowners' Association for them to come out and assess whether the tree should be taken down, the Inspector said that if Fox (the owner) recommended it come down, we should take it down. We did and the company did a great job for us.
Right before Fourth of July, we had another healthy tree split in half by a sudden storm. I called Fox and his crew came out right away. I will always rely on his team since we have experienced consistant good service and reasonable prices with trees that are not only in a protected area (RPA) but huge, meaning they demand complicated service.

Fox Rockwell, owner of Williamsburg Tree Service came out promptly to give us an estimate, and was very informative and helpful in discussing what to remove and how much to thin the existing trees on our property. We had some scheduling issues due to rain, but they got the work done in good shape and did a great job. It was a little hard to get a return phone call while we were in the scheduling phase, but in the end everything was done very nicely and the clean up was great.

The owner is the one who does the work himself, he doesn't contract it out, which I liked, he was prompt and he was honest.

We have had excellent tree service from other providers in past years but the cost estimate from this company was unbeatable so we decided to try them. There were no extra/ hidden charges. The professionalism, courtesy and care were impressive. We had five men (only the boss climbed trees), a couple of trucks to haul logs away, a Bobcat and large chipper with us all day. Everything was completed on time with plenty of feedback on progress and a great tidying job (even blowing leaves away). A couple of tall trees were taken down from the top, limb by limb, and then the trunk half way up so they could fell the rest without damaging other trees or shrubbery. The company doesn't stump grind. We will definitely choose them again.

Owner reminded me of our previous discussion (in services performed) and came out to install the 2 bolts in the tree which added tremendous support. Completed timely. Later in the summer, I noticed that the tree was actually absorbing the support bolts into it. The owner came out and advised this is exactly what the tree should do. The tree was thriving with good growth and new growth in the split areas....right up until hurricane Irene 5 mos later !!! The bolts held up nicely ...the rest of the tree did not !!!

I called the owner Fox Rockwell and asked for him to come out to take the remainder of the tree out. He was honest and advised he was swamped with a heavy work load and it would be some time before he could get to me. In the mean time, an army of neighbors folks helped me cut it up and place it in the street for FEMA removal. Fox did advise he would assist in finding a replacement tree at a later date

I recommend this tree service over the many who have been here previous.

They were very professional and did a very good job. The area was absolutely spotless when they left. They also took care of getting all the permits that we needed to have the work done. They were topnotch.
