Corey was very responsive in reviewing the work to be done, providing suggestions and reviewing the completed project. The crew was very professional and hardworking. I was very happy with the work they did and highly recommend them. Corey seems very knowledgable on all aspects of landscaping.

Service was terrific. The irrigation system is flawless, and is designed and built by Brett to be expandable at a later date - a great feature Brett recommended. The bluestone patio is amazing - please see photo. Note the attention to detail: properly sloped for runoff; stone cutting is flawless (look at the round edge); the sitting wall and fire pit are perfectly built, solid and gorgeous (note the built-in wall lights, on a control box and timer); and the final touches include edge bed shaping, mulch and boulders - yes, Corey and his crew added 3 boulders that are the perfect final detail (2 are visible in the photo). Before starting, Virginia Grounds had to excavate a ton of soil under the deck in order to bring it to grade with the rest of the back yard. All work was professional and meticulous; all his crews were respectful and polite.

I am stationed overseas and contracted the work when I was home for a short time.  When I returned the work was "completed" and the payment made.  I pointed out the stumps that had not been ground down and the failure to grade the yard correctly.  They did not appear to take the time to do it right or there was not enough supervision.  The Virginia Landscapes owner came back out to see what I was unhappy about and agreed to fix the short comings.  I returned to my duty overseas and Virginia Landscapers never came back to the house to finish the job.  I am not satisfied with their work and they did not keep their word to me.

Virginia Grounds did an excellent job of weeding and trimming bushes. They collected all of the debris and cleaned the work area. I plan to use them again.

They are very good. I have been using them for ten or fifteen years now; it has been a long time. Things go very well with them. The workers are great. They are very prompt and they do their job very well.  

This is the first time I have used someone to apply treatment to my lawn. After my experience with Virginia Green I wish I had done it sooner. No more buying and trying something that doesn't work. Having someone lose do it saves money and time

The neighbors love what they did, noting the care they took to do the work, and the results, namely to restore a yard that had been neglected. They were also reasonable in what they charged. I contacted other landscapers on this list and their estimates were nearly twice as much for less work. Everyone was also very professional in communications. When they first came a big mower had hit something on the lawn that flew and broke my front storm door. I got a note and they scheduled it being fixed, according to my schedule. I didn't need to worry for a second that they wouldn't take full responsibility for the repairs. Small disasters happen. What impressed me was how they handled it.

I am beyond pleased with the work that Virginia Grounds did for us. I had a number of other landscape companies do an estimate for the work we wanted done. And really, it was for more then just this project. We recently bought another house that will be a huge landscaping project. We are fixing up our old house for rent. I figured that not only would this be getting an estimate to have work done for what will become a rental property but also a vetting process for who we want to work with on our next home. I knew right away that Corey was the guy I wanted to work with. I think he really and quot;gotand quot; what we wanted to do with this project - attractive, low maintenance, and we didn't want to spend a fortune given what we foresee doing on our other house. I was hoping that Va Grounds would be in the ballpark on the estimates because I really wanted to go with them. Great news - they gave me a very competitive price for the work we wanted done - and I had a lot of estimates done up. They showed on the day they said they would and worked like demons. They did excellent work, the guys were incredibly nice and polite. They were working in tricky areas with utilities running around all over the place and had no issues. At the end of day one, my husband came home and had a couple of tweaks he wanted done. I got with the team the next morning and they went right to work on what we asked. They did excellent, very thorough work. No doubt in my mind that this is the company I want to work with on our next home. Highly highly recommend Virginia Grounds!
