"This review is on our business site and it is not our customer. We are sorry for the bad experience you had with another franchisee outside our area."
The inspector also responded to a follow up request to provide photos in separate files and was prompt in sending the requested pictures.
leaky roof, blocked drainage, insect infretation. All this service is
to pretend to be a home inspection service. Actually they only point
out problems, if they notice them and refer you to a professional.
$4000.00 and still mounting of structural?system problems they did not
find. Stupid, not fit for their service. Could not answer if the furnace had sufficient BTU's for the house, really very poor report. We warn any and all to hire professionals in their field of expertise instead of this unqualified group. Refused to go on the roof. Going on the roof is a standard part of home inspection. Said they would go on the roof over the phone and showed up and refused.
John Lynch arrived early on the day of inspection and was there before we arrived 15 min. before the appoinment time. John was friendly, extremely knowledgable and thorough. The inspection took about 3 hours (for a 2700 sq ft house) and John wrote the report on his laptop as he conducted the inspection. He walked through the house and pointed out every major issue and gave us several pointers for how to maintain the house in the future. At the end he gave use a binder with the bullet points of the major issues with the house. He proceeded to explain each bullet to us and our realator and said that we could expect a full 30-40 page report in the next couple of days. Having the bullet points immediately was key for us. We went to our realator's office immediately after the inspection and were able to generate our list of requested repairs for the seller thus meeting our deadline. A link to the full report was emailed to us the next day.
Additionally, John thought that we had requested the mid level inspection package and had performed the additional inspection options. Before he billed us (on the spot at the end of the inspection) he asked if we had indeed requested the mid level inspection. I said the we had actually requested the lowest inspection level, but that I had seen him using the FLIR camera which was part of the mid level package and that I didn't mind paying the additional cost because I had seen him do the work and was pleased with his performance. John immediately said no problem and proceeded to charge us for the cheaper package that we originally requested. On top of that we had forgotten our check book, but John was able to run our credit card right there in the house.
John Lynch's Pillar to Post company is excellent in every way and we highly recommend him to anyone seeking a home inspector.
By the way we are not related to John Lynch even though we have the same last name.
