BEWARE! My daughter took her car to Impact Auto for a state inspection. She got a call two hours later telling her she would need front brake pads, new rotors, both front sway bar links and by the way the oil is dirty and needs to be changed. The oil part made me think since we changed it and the filter only 60 days prior. Total cost $550.00. We decided to go to the shop and see what Impact Auto was talking about. Upon arrival we met with the owner’s daughter and asked to see the parts needing replacement. She was very polite and said sure and took us to the vehicle. First thing I looked at was the rotor. Smooth with no cuts or gouges and when I said there was nothing wrong with the rotor she told me they only recommended we replace the rotors. Now let’s look at the oil. Pulled dip stick and oil on stick was clean and like new. At this point asked why they were checking oil for a state inspection and was told they were a full-service repair facility and proactive when it came to their customers. I then question the cost of all the repairs and was told maybe I would be better off going to another repair facility. At this point red flags go off in my head and I immediately agreed with her. As I walked out of the shop I mention I hope nothing is done to the car to revenge our debate as to the necessary repairs and costs. Now comes the most troubling part of the story. We get the car home and decide to do the repairs ourselves. Total cost of parts $83.00 for brake pads, rotors and sway bar links. While removing the wheel lugs on the wheel they had removed during the inspection, one lug would not loosen. After repeated attempts to remove the lug nut if finally broke and there is the revenge part of the story. For those of you who don’t know, it is very easy and a known trick for dishonest repair facilities to cross thread the lug nut with an air impact gun when replacing the wheel. Well they sure showed us, off course this is only speculation on our part BUT go figure. I went on with the necessary repairs and found that the rotors were okay, and the sway bar links were also okay. One brake pad was out of specs out of the two on the wheel removed but they were not metal on metal as my daughter was told on the phone. In addition, the pads on the opposite side were less than 20% worn. Giving them the benefit of doubt I too would have replaced all the frond pads regardless. So, the moral of the story is be careful to look at customer reviews when you select a service repair facility. I looked at Impact’s reviews and they looked pretty good. They sure fooled us! BEWARE! Hopefully this review will help someone. I am not sure yet, but I figure the lug nut trick will cost my daughter around $150.00 to $200.00 to repair.

They are very good. Small mom and pop, family business and they charge fair prices. They are much more reasonable then the dealer. I have used them for years.

I usually go to Impact Automotive to have my cars inspected and minor work. I recently had some work done to my 4Runner (aftermarket exhaust) and they did a great job. They had no issue performing the quality install even though I brought my own parts. They did an awesome job and they are always friendly.

I have been going to Impact Auto for almost 20 years. The quality of the work is very high. They communicate well and they get the work done on time. It's a family-run business and they seem to take great pride in doing it right.

I have been going to Impact for over 15 years with never a hiccup. This particular service was no exception. Marlee and her crew do an exceptional job. They always LISTEN to what you need, they do a good job of troubleshooting, providing an estimate (with clear options) and then do quality work and followup. I trust these guys well beyond any other auto shop I have EVER worked with.

I have had work done in past by Impact Auto, they have always provided excellent service for the price. Will have then do more work in the future.

My wife and I love this garage. They seem honest and trustworthy. I've never felt ripped off like I have at other shops around the area. We use them for everything on our Jeep Grand Cherokee and Toyota Corolla. Pete and Marley are really friendly and I like supporting local business.

They are very respectful of my car, do a good job, and check with me to make sure the pricing and everything is okay.
