About us
Concrete Jack has raised and leveled millions of square feet of settled concrete, ranging from sidewalks to foundations and interstate highways. Additionally, Concrete Jack seals leaks and fills voids around steam tunnels, culvert pipes, grouts pipes under dams and roads, and corrects settlement and pumping of railroad infrastructure. We use only the best geotechnical and structural repair materials available, from suppliers including NCFI, and Earth Contact Products. Concrete Jack is a division of Preston H. Roberts, Inc, based in Williamsburg, Virginia. We started repairing concrete using the mud jacking process in 2008, and have since expanded to a diverse portfolio of repair methods, including high density polyurethane foam jacking, cellular concrete installation, foundation repair, and chemical grouting. Some of these projects include lifting apartment buildings with helical and resistance piers, chemical grouting for soil modification at industrial facilities, and cellular concrete installation as part of dam rehabilitations. As of January 1, 2019 Concrete Jack serves multifamily residential community associations and apartments along with commercial, civil, and industrial customers.

The most challenging part of the job for us was removing all of the furniture from the family room as well as taking up the laminate floor prior to Concrete Jack's arrival. Two workers arrived on time, drilled holes in the slab, injected the foam and "lifted" the slab back to level. Before they left they filled the drilled holes with a concrete mixture. I think their part of the job was finished within an hour. Then my wife and I re-installed the laminate floor and put the furniture back in the room. Our part took many more hours than their part for this particular job. Overall very happy with the result.

They showed up right on time and answered emails within an hour every time. They did an amazing job jacking up the foundation to where it was supposed to be. They cleaned up after themselves and were very polite. They jacked up ~1,000 square feet.

Richard arrived and I asked him if he would be able to raise the concrete, he replied "Oh yes". Well Richard really knows his stuff because he went to work drilling the holes just where they needed to be and raised that large slab of concrete and making them even with the other sections that also had to be raised. He didn't quit until it was too his satisfaction and I have to admit it was better than I hoped it would be. Great job. In addition, I can't even see where he drilled the holes. I highly recommend them for any of your concrete needs. You won't be disappointed.

Concrete Jack was prompt, friendly and honest with my wife and I from the very beginning. We have a 42 yr old house that had a dip in the lower-level concrete slab. I contacted Concrete Jack to gain an estimate and better understanding of what needed to be done to remedy this issue. Alex arrived to provide a thorough estimate and answer preliminary questions we had concerning the project. Due to some untimely financial issues, my wife and I had to postpone the job a while to recoup our stability. Karen at Concrete Jack was very kind in following up with us every few months to remain in contact. Finally, the project day came and Kevin and his associate showed up with their box truck and equipment. They took extra care to ensure minimal invasion of our lawn/garden as they fished the equipment lines through a front window. The process took about a half-day with them drilling small holes in the floor for injectors and then injecting a high-density poly foam under the slab. This foam rapidly filled the voids under the slab and stabilized it permanently. By the end of their job and clean-up, the foam was set and a herd of elephants can now trample around in my living room without issue to the floor/slab. Very friendly, prompt and professional! Strongly Recommended!

Prompt, quick with the assignment and professional. Isn't cheap, but MUCH lower than a total rebuild by a mason (we were getting $2500 estimates for that). Eight months later, work has held up (step and sidewalk have not sunk back into the ground). Would do business with again if needed.

Improper grading outside my house caused water infiltration in a crawlspace, eventually leading to significant erosion underneath one of the footers. I contacted numerous contractors both in foundation repair and basement waterproofing. Some tried to sell me on systems that were overly complex, or didn't adequately address the issue. Some never called me back after the initial consultation.
It took me a while to find Concrete Jack because they're home office isn't in the DC area. Luckily their service area is quite large. Their estimator conducted a thorough inspection of my crawlspace and provided a written estimate the next day. The job was scheduled within a month and the two man crew even arrived a little early on the day of the job.
They used an expanding structural foam to fill the void under the footer. The job was completed quickly, with most of the time spent solely on prep. The crew was professional, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves.
I'm pleased with the work, and looking forward to seeing the results after our first big rain event.

My slab had settlement issues around a central load bearing wall. The center of the floor was up to 1.75" lower than the walls. This resulted in cracks in the wall, doors that wouldn't close properly, slanted counter-tops, and separation of the upstairs walls from the floors. I was extremely worried that the company would not be able to rectify these issues. Everything I had read about Foam Jacking suggested this could be fixed but the contract explicitly states they will provide stabilization against further sinking but cannot guarantee any lift.
With some trepidation, I signed the contract as the alternative solution (helical piering) was 6x more expensive and much more destructive to the interior of the house. The crew showed up right when they were scheduled to and got right to work. They were very professional and obviously knew exactly what they were doing.
Concrete Jack delivered everything I hoped and more. They were able to return the house to level -- the cracks in the walls closed up, the doors all close and latch perfectly, the counter-tops are level, and the upstairs walls are once again supported by the floors! All this in about 3.5 hours with minimally invasive holes in the slab around the load bearing wall (I had the floor previously removed for other work). I have never been 100% satisfied with any contractor for any project before but Concrete Jack made me a believer!

I am extremely happy with the result. Everything is back up where it should be. We did a have a couple cracks as a result but they are easily filled with concrete/grout filler. Also they explained to me before they started where and why it would likely crack so there were no surprises. The gentlemen that showed up to do the job were very friendly and professional. They were also thorough. I can't say they were on time because they actually showed up early! They got done within the time frame they allotted. We ended up going a bit over our quote, but not a crazy amount. Also the gentleman who did our intitial quote was on time...also a bit early. He was very friendly and professional as well. I would definitely recommend these guys to my friends!
