They were a referral. They did quite a bit. They worked in the house by themselves, we weren't even here. We trusted them in the house. They did a good job. Everything was done top quality. They had a long time to work in the house, so they worked at their own pace. They were very trustworthy.

The owner initially surveyed the house and did a quick trace of the electrical line and made a sketch of the light pole, electrical line, and the crawl space of the house in relation to where the line went under the foundation. He didn't charge for his quick assessment of the issue and quoted a cost of around $250 which made my final bill around $159 after the $95 incentive I received through Angie's List. A few days later, two servicemen came out to the house to repair the light as instructed by the owner and the sketch he provided. They checked the junction box in the crawl space under the house and found that to be working properly. Next they dug at the base of the yard light and found the bad junction / splice. They made a quick run to a local store to get a splice kit and made the repairs shortly after they returned. They also replaced the GFCI plug in the pole since it was ruined from the bad wiring as well. The only thing I didn't care for was the replacement cover they placed over the GFCI socket. The original cover was a piece of metal that matched the light pole, placed on a hinge. According to the servicemen, the new cover they used was required due to new codes. It was a larger, bulky plastic cover that had a black base connected to the light pole but a clear plastic cover attached to the black base via a hinge. I had to spray paint the clear plastic cover black to ensure it at least matched the pole to some degree and didn't look to gaudy. I also had to reattach the base of the GFCI cover because they didn't have all four screws or the correct size screws. I gave the service provider an overall 'A' rating because they fixed the problem with the light and stuck with the $250 estimate. They rest of the work I overlooked because I felt the GFCI was an additional item that they could have charged more. I also replaced the photoelectric sensor because it quit working while they were inspecting the operation of the light. It was melted due to the bad wiring as well. I was satisfied with their work getting the wiring to work from the house to the light pole so the other little stuff that I could repair didn't bother me. Since their repair, the light has been working perfectly.

The workers were courteous and punctual. All work was completed in a timely manner. They even installed an outside cover so the ground fault wouldn't keep tripping.

Despite telling me how much of an improvement his supplies were, installed cheap cable and cable connectors. I had to have all the connectors changed because of the way they were installed. The cable he used was adequate, just the cheapest type. As this was a digital cable installation, which he knew, it had to be without signal leakage. His installation was poor, with much leakage. I had to have the cable company out again, who fixed it by replacing all the connectors with the appropriate ones.
Also, this service should have taken only one hour, which I paid in advance. I was charged an additional hour for this substandard service. While the serviceman was polite, his work was shabby, and he took his time.
