This is the second time I have used this company in the last twelve months to replace major HVAC systems in two houses I own in Williamsburg; I could not be happier with the results. Very competitive pricing, outstanding installation quality, the tops in professionalism and responsiveness. Joe Chauvin does what he says he is going to do on time and on budget; no up-selling for bells and whistles you do not need.

I would give them a glowing recommendation. He is perhaps the most honest business person out there. I don't know how he makes any money because he does little repairs for free, he is responsive and has never let us down- ever.

They listened to my requirements, suggested several options, provided a competitive estimate and finished the installation in two days.  They were professional in all aspects of their work.  We now have a Trane XV95 80K D/F gas furnace, XR16 3.5 ton A/C and a hi-efficiency 4 ton cased coil.  After the installation, we noticed a slight high pitched whine coming from our air ducts and contacted them.  They determined that the blower motor was defective, so exchanged it for a new motor in short order.  I would not hesitate to use them again.

Chauvin Mechanical revived my old AC unit several years ago when several other contractors said that it needed immediate replacement, so I called Joe Chauvin when my old units finally needed to be replaced.  He listened to my requirements, explained my options and provided a competitive estimate.  Installation went well.  I am very happy with my new heating/AC system.

Joe is probably the most trustworthy and honest contractor I've ever dealt with.  While living in Williamsburg, we purchased a house that had a substandard HVAC system and when we needed help, he was always there.  He is easy to communicate with does the job right.  Due to a military change of station, we had to move and rented our house.  During this time the AC went out completely and I called Joe to replace it.  He made time to get it done ASAP and got it installed in harsh weather conditions.  If you are looking for a HVAC guy in the Williamsburg area, look no farther.

Humidifier looked good and is working. He acknowledged there is a moisture problem in the home (our hardwood floors are separating). Gave several suggestions for me to pursue.

They were incredibly professional. They came and were very punctual, and cleaned up after themselves. They didn't mind that I sat and watched, and they were very accomodating. They did a nice job.

Many times some companies will jump the gun and replace the entire unit instead of repair the existing one. He made sure to make every repair possible in the most cost effective way before recommending replacement. I really appreciated that he was honest and upfront so when the big job came, he's the one that got the business.

Even after the job was done, he called me to check in and came out and made a slight adjustment at no additional cost! If I could rate him higher than an A I could!

Both times Joe responded quickly and was able to make the repair that day. He was courteous and professional, and extremely knowledgeable. We recommend him without hesitation.

The service was free because he previously had installed the unit. I have recommended them to others who also have been happy and I will use them again in the future.

The work done went very well. I liked the fact that they were honest. They weren?t trying to sell me something beyond what was needed. They were honest with their information. You could verify their information because there are some companies where you can?t verify their information. In terms of quality, they gave me the best system that was available for my area. Everything is done by two people out there. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

I was very satisfied with their work. They were knowledgeable, professional and helpful. They were willing to accommodate our requests and we wanted to see the built-in system. I haven?t yet received the final bill, but it should be in the neighborhood of $11000.

Very well. Took two days of labor to get everything done, in addition to a half day spent previously to fix a problem with an existing heat pump which was not replaced. Chauvin's estimate was below three other vendors we had selected. The furnace was an upgrade from the old one and is rated at 60,000 BTU 2 stage variable speed. The AC unit is a 2 ton closed coil, and the new heat pump is a 1.5 ton unit. We were charged exactly the quoted price when the job was finished. Joe Chauvin made some suggestions regarding how to improve the balance of air exchange between the two downstairs areas and it's working fine. He had to move a couple ducts around to accomplish this. Took a couple weeks for him to get started because he's swamped taking care of people with older units which are not holding up due to the excessive heat. Once started, he got everything done in a timely manner. We are very pleased with Chauvin Mechanical and have no reservations recommending them to anyone.
