This contractor is really rude and lacks professionalism at work. He tries to rip off money where possible. Expects full payment before even the work starts. He didn't show up on the scheduled day. Then rescheduled for another day and time. Didn't showup on time. By the time we called up from office he said he has completed the job. He would not give any report to support the job done. Run away from this contractor. Save your money, time and find a better contractor.

They did an excellent job.  Jose was great from start to finish.

The person just showed up and they walked on the roof. They took pictures of the problem areas. The guy came in and he said that inside caulking was used in areas outside and he did not do any repairs to the nail popping. He just tried to sell a maintenance program for the roof or a new roof. They did not do the job that was stated through a Big Deal.

Jose is a thorough and hard worker.  He replaced our roof about a year and a half ago and did an EXCELLENT Job.  Not a single issue and it look great.  They showed up when they said they would and finished when they said they would.  They front and back yards looked just like they did before started the job.  GREAT WORK!!!

GNS Roofing did an excellent job.  They started and completed the job on time and on budget.  Jose provided good advice on some minor changes that would enhance the life of the roof with little impact to the overall cost.

GNS did great!  The price was very reasonable.  The work was done on time.  The workers left the project clean.  I was most impressed that they did the little details that were not contracted.  An example is that they painted black (the color of the roof) three pipes on the roof.   I never even thought of this and very quietly as they left they told me they had.  It looks so much better than it did.  It's great work and those little things that would cause me to call back again and again.  
Additionally, I have been pricing new roofs and GNS' proposal was considerably lower that their competitors.  I will be using them to replace the roof in the next year.

It went very well and Jose was informative. They clean up very well too.

It went fairly well. After the first visit, we purchased the one year warrany on the work. Our roof started leaking again and Jose was promptly back out to look at the roof. Initially, he thought it was the flashings, but started to question that after the second episode. Then, our roof started leaking a third time and Jose came back out and discovered our window was not properly caulked. He caulked it and we've been dry so far. During the entire ordeal Jose was very responsive and professional no matter how many times I called frantic about my roof. I would use GNS Roofing again.

Delayed one day due to weather.  Took great care in protecting my deck, and lawn from debris and old roofing nails, etc. .  Completed the entire roof within 6 hours of arrival.  They installed a attic fan, new vent pipes and flashing.  Once Jose and his crew were done, they cleaned everything up and took pictures of the new roof explaining exactly what they had done.  Jose said that he would stop back by in March to ensure everything was fine. 
Overall experience was very positive and we would highly recommend GNS to our neighbors and friends. 

I am  ashamed that it took me so long to write this report.  We found Jose on Angie's list, very highly recommended.  Because it was early  February and we had to have the roof replaced before we moved in, we were not sure how the job would go.  Jose came immediately.  Even before he got onto  the roof, he could see what needed to be done.  He was aware of our move-in deadline, so he drew up the contract immediately with the price.  And when he did get on the roof, he observed that we would need circulating fans in addition, to keep the roof aerated and the house mold free.  He immediately informed us that there would be a change in price and gave us another quote.  We were very impressed that he did NOT do  the "oops-add on" price, but was very up front with  us.  We agreed to the new price and contract.  He then assured us that he would finish the job in three days, guaranteed.  However, one of the days brought inclement weather, so he called immediately and told us that they could not work on that particular day, but would finish the job, no questions, as promised.  So he sent his workers on a  Sunday, no extra charge for a weekend, and they were true to his word, finished in three days!
Jose also noticed that we needed a downspout and gutter on the side of the house.  He recommended someone, who also came immediately, fixed the problem in just a few hours and charged a very reasonable price.
Never have I experienced such honesty, integrity and responsibility in a businessman, in addition to the highest performance level of work.    I would recommend Jose, GNS roofing to anyone who is looking for those qualities in a roofer and a person.
As a closing remark, Jose, as he was leaving, noticed that the two houses on either side of us would need a roof very soon.  Sure enough, both houses, a few months later, had new roofs put on!  He knows his business!!!   Go with him!

Jose was very professional and courteous. He gave us a great recommendation for an electrician to run the wiring for the attic fan at an affordable price. He gave great recommendation on how to properly vent that attic and what shingles were in the price range we were looking for. He came many thousands of dollars cheaper than the competition for the same materials.

Prompt, professional and honest. Jose and his employees were polite and considerate of my property and neighbors. The work was done with care and without rushing to finish. I would recommend Jose's company if you are looking for quality with a capital Q!

GNS came out the same day I called.  I met Jose and he was honest and thorough.  We spoke at length about the condition of my roof and available options.  The roof was fixed within the week.  I am very happy with the work done.
Sooner or later I will need to have my roof replaced.  Let there be no doubt that GNS will be doing the work. 

I called them when my renter told me there was a leak in the roof.  They were able to come the same day and repair it.  I have a metal roof and many companies don't fix metal roofs, however they patched it up quickly and took photos to show me the work.  I would use them again.

We called GNS at approximately 11:00 AM and asked if they could give us an estimate to fix a leaking roof.  An appointment ws set for 3:00PM.  Jose called at approximately 2:30 PM to let me know they were running late because they had to finish a job.  We rescheduled for 6:00 PM, and they were right on time.  They arrived and immediately went to work.  His crew climbed onto the roof and I showed Jose where water was entering the attic.  From inside the attic Jose directed his crew to the area of the leak.  They were confident they found the leak and proceeded to seal the effected areas.  While they .were on the roof they also found several other areas that needed sealing, and found some popped nails that needed to be fixed.  They proceeded to seal and repair these areas.  We are now waiting for a good hard rain to see if the repairs took.
This was our first contact with GNS.  I was very impressed with Jose, and his crew.  They are very knowledgable and professional.  We had another "roofer" out 3 different times to fix the leak and finally he gave up and told us we needed to either patch a quarter of the roof  or install a whole new one.  When I explained this to Jose he said he was confident they had fixed the leak and said we didn't need a new roof or a sizable patch.  He did, however, point out the lack of ventilation in our attic, even with the soffet and ridge vents.  Apparently the builder didn't leave enough space between the sheathing at the peaks of the gables.  Based upon this Jose recommended that we have an attic fan installed.to reduce the heat build-up in the attic.  This is something I believed needed to be done before talking to Jose so it was good to have my thoughts confirmed.  After some additional conversation Jose went on to give us an estimate on the installtion of an attic fan, with no hard sell I might add, which my wife and I are currently considering.

Jose and his team did a fantastic job!  He was able to meet me at the house (rental property) the day after I called and provided a thorough estimate.  He performed the work the next day and sent pictures to me at work and described the repairs in detail.  I purchased the warranty, knowing that I want a problem free roof and relationship for the benefit of my tenants.  I would not hesitate to have GNS work for me again and am very pleased with the work they did and his follow up.
