Matt Koogler (the owner/operator of Ridgetop Excavating) is a skilled equipment operator - he knows how to make the heavy equipment get the job done. However, when the bill came it was WAY MORE than was expected and was very "creative" in how the charges were calculated and was not based on anything previously discussed or disclosed. So while Matt can do the work -- I will be looking for a different provider for all future jobs. My words to the wise for Matt Koogler/Ridgetop excavating .... (1) get everything clearly defined and priced in writting up-front - preferabily itemized; (2) do NOT allow any changes or "add-ons" offered from the written agreement; and expect that you will end-up paying well over $100/hr for his time plus any additional costs for materials, equipment rental, diesel fuel for the equipment, etc.
