Background information: Our home was damaged by mold (caused by a contractor). Along with other items damaged, the kitchen cabinets had to be replaced. The old cabinets were removed by the mold remediation company.
Leo Cekada, is the owner of the business. He is easy to talk to and is helpful in planning the project. Making contact with him is a hit or miss endeavor. (He's not always available in his showroom and is slow to answer his voicemail). We met with Mr. Cekada a couple of times in Sept. 2014. When the old cabinets were removed in October, Mr Cekada offered the use of some used cabinets to support the kitchen sink; which was greatly appreciated by us. We ordered the cabinets on or about 10/20/14, and was told it would take about a month for the cabinets to be shipped from factory. In November we were told that the truck delivering the cabinets had "tipped over" and the cabinets were ruined. Finally, about Dec. 23rd, the cabinets arrived. Leo and his employee began the installation. The employee injured his hand and was unable to continue working the next day. On Dec. 24th, Leo and another employee continued working. Leo left the job early, leaving the employee to continue the job. This employee griped constantly about his boss and about having to work on Christmas Eve. His work was shoddy and (since he resigned his position) Mr. Cekada was forced to proceed alone (his other employee fell on Christmas and broke his wrist). It was found that one of the cabinets was the wrong size and had to be reordered. The replacement cabinet arrived on Feb. 4, 2015, and was installed. The wall tile was then installed.
Mr Cekada had to come back a couple of times to address some minor problems (partly caused by the disgruntled employee).
The entire process was agonizingly slow, but Leo Cekada was amenable to making changes and, in the end did a nice job.
