I was in and out in under an hour. Dr. Reeder aspirated Trixie's lump and determined it to be a benign infection. She prescribed antibiotics and we were on our way. Dr. Reeder has a great demeanor with animals and their parents. The staff is gracious and caring.

Since moving to Waynesboro seven years ago, I have had four dogs that have received veterinary care at the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro. The service is professional, caring and reasonably priced. Dr. Lorenz has spent countless hours helping me find the best way to treat three of my dogs who had serious medical issues - one with epilepsy, one with liver disease, and one with cancer. There was a period of time when I spoke with Dr. Lorenz a couple of times a week about my dog, Smoky, who had seizures. When I needed his help, he would always call me with both medical advice and reassurance.
Dr. Weiss also really helped with my dog, Suki, who had liver disease. Suki became very ill over a weekend when Dr. Weiss was on call. Her care and concern for my dog (and for me) was superb.
The entire staff is just wonderful. I highly recommend The Animal Hospital of Waynesboro. They offer outstanding care for companion animals!

The vet, Dr. Valerie Weiss treated me and my 2 dogs like we were special. She was obviously educated, experienced and cared. The staff were so helpful since my 2 dogs-both rescued dogs who are not well behaved-not leash trained and not socialized to be with other dogs and need extra attention getting in and out of the office (straight into an exam room then straight out of the office and into the car with their help-plus I am disabled and unable to physically control the dogs on leashes. The staff was absolutely wonderful in meeting my and my dogs needs and making the experience pleasurable. They went above and beyond the call of duty in caring for us.
As for the lab results, especially the biopsy for cancer, Dr. Weiss called me within 2 hours to give the results-which was good news.
My only criticism is the swinging doors into and out of the exam rooms which do not prevent the dogs from getting out of the room or other animals from getting in. Also, the exam room was very small with a tiny built-in corner seat for me to sit on and place my coat and purse-not anywhere near large enough for anything but my purse to sit on.
I will definitely continue to take my dogs to this facility. The price was much less than the vet I previously used.

They have treated all of my dogs and cats and I have never had a bad experience. One story that comes to mind is when a friend called me, in tears, and told me their hamster was very sick and their regular vet told them it wasn't worth the effort, to just let it die. I recommended that they call AHW, which they did, and the hamster was saved. These people really care about animals and animal owners. The depth of their knowledge and expertise is remarkable. I was told by a veterinary referral hospital that AHW was one of the best practices they dealt with. Overall I have nothing but praise for them.
