They did the work that day. It turned out to be the thermostat that was bad. I happened to have a replacement thermostat, so they did the installation. The technician was great to work with and the office people I called. They were great.

I had a new HVAC installed last year by another Angie's list member. The Unit did not perform properly. After numerous returns by the company they finally informed me they could not fix the problem. They returned my money. I contacted Robert's and they send someone out within days to give me an estimate. The installation was set up and within the week I had a new HVAC that worked. They were professional and I would highly recommend them.

The Technicians were on time, professional and left the work areas spotless. The job involved a more complex installation, since the inside unit combined the cooling and a hot water heat ex-changer in the air handler unit. That said, the Technician's work included attention to each detail of the hot water and freon line connections, while doing a precision job re-connecting the air duct to the new system. Once all the connections were completed, he tested and demonstrated the system operations, and throughly cleaned the work area.
In addition to the exceptional work done, Robert's Heating and Air Conditioning provided the best quote! Not only a very competitive quote (actually best price), but one that included complete system replacement, inside and out, for the same price that the competition only offered to replace the outside unit! Honesty, integrity and excellent job quality!! What more could I ask. And their references were spot on!

We had a very good experience with Roberts. Bob came out to do an estimate a day or two after we called. In looking things over he pointed out a few issues that other estimators had missed. The basic estimate was for $5,500, which was for the American Standard air conditioning unit (Gold Series SI, 2.5 ton, 13 SEER) and American Standard furnace (Gold Series SM). We tacked on $500 for a humidifier unit and another $770 for a two-stage variable speed furnace (the Gold SV), for a total of $6,800. That price beat two other competitors by $1200! And the American Standard Gold air conditioner is a middle-of-the-line system, where as the other companies were offering entry level Carrier and Trane. A comparable Carrier was going to run $8-10,000. (Am Standard is a subsidiary of Trane. Bob said he preferred American Standard to Carrier, but was willing to quote a Carrier system if you have brand loyalty. Once you start researching units online, though, the prevailing opinion you'll find is that the installer is more important than the manufacturer.) Install quote also included some new ducting that attached to the furnace and the relocation of our dryer vent to another wall of the basement.
I submitted our approved proposal on Friday and we were scheduled for installation the next Monday. The three-man team was on time and professional. The new work passed the county inspection with no problems and everything is working great a few weeks later. Would definitely recommend.

I recently had the heat pump system in my townhouse replaced by Robert's Heating and Air. Bob and his entire team were outstanding to work with through the entire process.
Chase came out to provide an estimate. He listened to what I was looking for and didn't try to sell us anything unnecessary. His quote was less expensive than any of the others I received.
The installation team was friendly and did a fantastic job. They explained the various components and safety features- and made sure the system was working flawlessly before they left.
Bob offered a Goodman unit that was significantly less expensive than what was offered by the competition. Other contractors tried to sell me more expensive units. The Goodman carries the same warranty and works great for my home.
Overall, it was a very positive experience and I would highly recommend Bob and his team.

Robert's did a fantastic job and I wouldn't go with anyone else. They are very reasonably priced, and the quality of the workmanship was fantastic. To avoid air handler rattling in our attic, they installed a suspended system to hold the air handler steady. The heating issues we had in our home (15 degree temp difference between 1st and 2nd floors) were solved by the new boiler and radiator. They did such a good job, we're using them again in our new home, which needs a new boiler now in 2013.

The installation went smoothly from my perspective. I would suggest this company to anyone who wants a quality job performed on their HVAC equipment. Hindsight - It would have been good for me to let them put in my heating unit too, as they would have matched the two units..... A quality minded company.

He was on time. He was very professional. He was very knowledgable. He went above and beyond, doing a thorough inspection. He replaced the thermocouple on the boiler. The heat is working fine at this point.

Robert is very busy since my repair was scheduled about 10 days after I called. Given his rating in Checkbook Magazine and since it was still relatively mild outside (April) with little risk of unbearable heat or cold, I decided to wait for the appointment. It's understandable that he was booked since summer is just around the corner and many reputable HVAC companies also had long backlogs. In any case, he was punctual, polite, experienced, quick, informative, and reasonable. I am very picky with service providers, so I am glad that I found a quality HVAC company. I will use Robert again and recommend him to my friends.

Found them after doing a lot of searching and having had the big-name firm in hydronic heating just flat out tell us that they weren't interested in doing the work of correcting a poor job that was started by an independent plumber we found. Other contractors were very slow to provide proposals or provided proposals for extremely expensive options. Bob, the operator of Roberts Heating, was able to schedule a visit to our place within just a couple days (much quicker than other firms), spent a lot of time explaining what our options were and recommended an approach that we ended up selecting, including removing fin tubes that had been improperly installed in some places, and putting in new fin tubes everywhere that we'd had them pulled out earlier to accomodate remodelling work. The results and work were well above what we hoped for. His crew was professional, polite, and hard working. After they were done, I noticed a small leak in a pipe located in a room that they hadn't touched. The crew came back immediately and fixed that for us as well. Bob was great to work with, and we look forward to having him relocate and replace our air conditioning unit next.

Installing A/C and ductwork was a huge job in this house. It involved having a false ceiling built in one room to hide the duct work, running other duct work through hidden attics, and installing two AC units. Bob sold us a system that was $10,000 less than the next bidder. The next bidder claimed the system Bob was installing would never do the job and I can confidently say - that bidder was wrong. Our house was cool as could be last summer. Bob told us where we needed to install insulation (which cost a few hundred dollars) in order to purchase a much smaller unit than others had recommended. A guy named Chance was the lead guy that did the work and he was fantastic. He didn't mind my kids "helping" him at all, he was super clean about the work he did, and he seemed to work quickly and efficiently. When problems arose, he recommended a solution and the system has performed fabulously. After we had the AC installed, we had them back to service our very old boiler (which Chance had looked at when he was installing the AC). When it wasn't working, twice Bob talked me through how to figure out what was wrong over the phone, which kept it working an extra year. When it finally died, the service to replace it was fantastic. Again, Bob / Chance were neat and tidy, arrived on time, and did the job quickly. I don't imagine I'll need any more HVAC work, but I recommend this team all the time now - particularly for friends with old houses - and nobody I know has been disappointed.
