We met with 3 different window/door companies to get quotes. All pointed us to the same doors, which was a good sign! Paul came out and gave us the best price on Signet Fiberglass entry doors to replace original house doors. He gave us a lot of input on styles being used in newer construction and with our style home. There was no pressure sale at all; he was very even keeled and pleasant to work with. We chose Paul for his Angieslist ratings and our in-person meeting. While we weren't planning on windows right away, he gave us some ballpark quotes and discussed what lines of windows he offers and what styles would be used for our home.
Between the initial meeting and installation it took about 4-5 weeks. The installation team was knowledgeable, courteous, and very picky about the installation. Final inspection of doors/installation went fine. Have had no issues and we've gotten many compliments on our doors.

I could not have been happier with the results from the first meeting with Paul to the final product. I had gone to the Washington Home Show and got suckered into getting bids from some of the big home improvement companies [ Window Nation, etc,]. They were all high pressure salesmen. That is another whole story but I would not recommend any of them. When Paul came out we walked around the house and he explained the procedure with me step by step. The other companies wanted to cover the siding where as Paul explained the advantage of removing the existing siding which was what I thought the others would do. They would wrap the house with Tyvek too. He explained the materials used and the advantages of all the top grade materials he insists on using. At that point everything sounded great but I was a bit skeptical of what this would all cost. We came in and he sat down and put a bid together that was right in the ball park with the other companies that had come to give us estimates. And Paul is local with lots of high praise from everyone we talked to which is a plus too. My wife was out at the time Paul came but when she got home I told her we had our man. The next day I took her to Paul's showroom for her to meet him and pick out the cool scheme and trim she wanted. Of course with her tastes we spent a little more but not much and I agreed with her choices.
The first thing to be replaced was the roofing. Shawn and crew came out and shoveled the snow off the roof to expedite the process. He and the crew were very professional and even put new shingles on my small shed in the back yard for no additional cost. Something I had planned on doing but they did it in not time flat. The siding was scheduled to start in late March but I asked if it could be postponed till April 1st because I was going to out of town the last week of March. Dee was very helpful in accommodating us on that. A couple days before Dee called and said the guys should be there April 1st either at 0700 or mid morning if the job they were doing did not finish. They day before she called and said it would be mid morning. Well mid morning came and so did they. I have nothing but praise about ALL of the guys working for Paul. They could not have been more professional , helpful and respectful. I think we meet almost all of them since this was a large job. The main players were Brian [ Paul's brother and the foreman], Daniel [ Paul's son], Zack and Kevin. There were several others that came out to help and each came to meet us and introduce themselves with a big smile. They all paid attention to every detail of the work and were true craftsmen. They cleaned up after themselves every day too.
As I said before we could not be happier with our decision to go with Paul Henry. We know all the materials used are top quality and installed correctly. Everyone we met was friendly and professional. The house looks like a new house. Kudos to the whole gang.
