On the first day of this two-day job, Kevin and his crew cut down most of the remaining tree, leaving about a 4 foot stump. On the second day, his crew removed some of the remaining tree, then in the afternoon, he asked if I could pay him early so that he could pay his crew. Once I did that, the crew packed up and left, leaving the job half unfinished.
He did leave much of the crew's equipment, but returned the next day, saying that his crew would be "right there" to come and finish the job.
I recently saw him in our neighborhood, and when I asked him about what had happened, he again said he'd come by to "fix the problem", and he never did.
