Perfectly! Invoicing was done quickly, delivery was set and delivery date/time was met. The wood arrived on a pallet, shrink wrapped. It was delivered to our driveway. The wood is well seasoned and we are enjoying warm fires this winter. We'll probably need to order more next year!

Called to ask if I should order the lead compost again or the topsoil/leaf compost mix. Woman on the phone was rude and told me she could help and to ask my landscaper (I dont have a landscaper - I can level my own dirt). Against my better judgement (since I had previously ordered from them), I ordered 10 cubic yards of topsoil/lead compost mix. I completely understand that there are some stones and sticks in a usual load, but this load was FULL of stones, sticks, and glass. I had trouble shoveling some of the chunks of hard dirt into my wheel barrow to even get it to the backyard. I have now ordered from Mulch & Stone, LLC and the regular topsoil is night & day.

Terrible - soil was mostly clay with no compost - Was wet when arrived and unclear how bad it was till driver left. Did not answer phone and never responded to emails.  Picked them based on the good reviews and competitive pricing but I am so disappointed in the results. Had to order compost from another provider to supplement all that clay.  AVOID!!!!!

We have purchased double shredded mulch from this company many times over the years.  They deliver the next day and you can give instructions at the time of purchase on where you would like the mulch dumped. The mulch is of good quality.

We like to see the mulch because we're always nervous whether the landscapers were picking it up from the dump or not.  They don't charge you with the shipping and they deliver it.  If you order 10 yards of it like a minimum order; the delivery fee is free.  They're great and wonderful.  They've been easy going too.

They were really good. They did exactly what they said they would do and did it on time. Because of the weather conditions, they called twice and suggested that I not have the mulch delivered on a particular day because it was going to be raining and flooding because they didn't want me with a big pile of mulch just sitting in my driveway getting soaked and wet. They were $10 a cubic yard cheaper than another company and they do their own coloring. My only complaint would be with punctuality. Their operations manager does not schedule the drivers' loads according to distance. They should start with the furthest distance and then work their way backwards, but they don't do that.

This company was a pleasure to deal with, start to finish. Their prices are very competitive, and their service excellent. Both the person taking my order over the phone, as well as the driver who delivered the mulch were very professional and courteous. They were able to deliver my order within the week which it was ordered, within the time window they provided. The quality of the mulch is very good, and the price excellent.

The delivery came a bit earlier than expected, so I was out of the house.  The truck driver unloaded more or less where I requested. When I got home, the driver was still there. I saw the pile in my driveway, and noticed that beneath a nice frosting of beautiful, black organic material there was what looked like dense, hard-packed clayish soil, so I asked the driver if that was the top soil orgro mix. He confirmed that there was no mistake - what was delivered was what JK Enterprise (Lumber Jake) defined as a top soil-orgo blend.
So, what did we get? Well, as I dug through the pile, I discovered that the orgro was just on the top. The res of the pile was essentially construction dirt. It was hard-packed, and it was mostly clay. Since the whole point of my project was to dig up the hard clay soil that is in our yard and replace it with something that is better, I felt like all the work I did was essentially for nothing. If the soil was at least blended well - if they had actually run the mix through some kind of a grinder first to mix it up, perhaps that would have done the job. But the "top soil" which they claim is "FINELY PROCESSED THROUGH A 3/8″ SCREEN" was hard-packed, and in some cases I found boulders of clay hard as stone.
A project that was to take me a weekend or two turned into weeks, as I pounded through the "soil", broke it up, and mixed it with the orgro to turn it into something that should have been delivered in the first place. The plant beds where I poured this mixture are nowhere near as productive as expected. Grass grows well - nothing else does. Strawberries are barely taking root, and carrots are not able to go down deeper than an inch or so. Next year I'll have to order orgro (of course from a different supplier) to amend the soil and till the whole thing back up. Certainly not what I was expecting.
Just to clarify that I understand what top soil is supposed to look like, we actually made an order with a different company last year. That time, we only got 5 cubic yards for a smaller project. I was not 100% satisfied because the mix contained scraps of plastic bags, and some other small pieces of litter. This is why this year I went with Lumber Jake - I figured they'd be better. Alas, the soil was not blended with the orgro, and the orgro had similar litter to what we got the year before. That suggests to me that the orgro is more or less the same, but the soil blended in the previous delivery was actually soil. What we got from Lumber Jake was construction dirt.
I actually contacted the company about this. Sent them pictures, told them what they delivered was not what they claim to be delivering. No response. I'm not getting my money back - I've already accepted that. But please, don't give them yours. My recommendation is that you go to the company's yard (JK Enterprises operates out of Warrenton, so too far for me to drive), and pick the stuff you want yourself, so they don't just dump what they picked up at a local construction site in your driveway and call it "local top soil".

I ordered a pallet of mulch on a Sunday, the mulch was delivered on Thursday as promised. The delivery guy had a small issue finding my house, but he called me on the number I provided and we were able to quickly sort it out. It was a pretty basic mulch order, so nothing special to report, but it was a smooth, quick, simple transaction. Product was as expected and prices seemed consistent/competitive with other vendors I researched. Would use them again.

Customer service rep was fantastic. She let me know that 10 cu yds would be cheaper than the 7 that I had requested, based on a promotion they had. Asked them to dump on tarp in driveway, and they did exactly that without anyone having to be home. Mulch was high quality and definitely on-par/better than you can buy in bags at major home improvement stores. Would definitely buy from them again. Price, quality and service were top-notch.

I ordered 4 palettes of colonial gray flag stone, stone dust
(patio base), bags of stone, and bulk stone for several landscaping projects at
my home. What I like the best about JK Enterprises is how they deliver. Each
palette is brought to location on my property off the semi tractor with a
forklift they provide. The delivery staff are efficient, courteous and knowledgeable.
This is the second time i have used JKE and will likely again next year.

I called JK Enterprises on Tuesday and requested delivery of 10 cubic yards of double shredded hardwood mulch for Friday delivery. Left instructions with the receptions who took my order to have the delivery driver dump the mulch in a specific location in our driveway. Received an email containing the invoice with my noted instruction within 1 hr. Mulch was delivered ~ 8:30 am Friday morning and dumped in the correct spot. I've bought bulk mulch in bulk from several vendors over the last 13 years. This was the highest quality material, $7.00 less per yard (paid $17.00/cubic yard) then next cheapest vendor of from whom I have previously bought from several times in the past, the mulch contained ZERO extraneous material, and delivery is FREE for 10 cubic yards or more. At the time of placing the order the receptionist told me that there would be a an additonal 5% fuel charge ($8.00) and 5% VA taxes ($9.00). Overall an excellent experience.
