Excellent results - from scheduling thru installation, Dean and his wife are an awesome team. Professional, courteous, and reasonably priced. Dean replaced a broken spring previously and when it was time to replace my Genie with a Liftmaster, I knew exactly who to call - Dean. Best call I made in awhile! Would not hesitate to deal with him again, refer him to my family or friends. This quality of service is hard to find in nowadays.

He came out here quickly and fixed it perfectly! Couldn't ask for better service. Would hire again.

Great. Replaced both door springs, the door's pulleys, lift cables, safety cables, and lubed door and opener. The company was a pleasure to deal with and will call upon them again the next time I have a garage door issue.

Mrs. Deans responded to my call and provided a quote and set up an appointment for the following morning. Mr. Deans arrived on time and assessed the situation and provided a detailed quote with a substantial cost savings and the time required. The repair was made within the time and cost estimate and even lubricated the drive on the other door. The Liftmaster door opener works perfectly and used the battery backup to operate the door during a power outage the following day. I couldn't be more satisfied with the cost and service provided.

The service call was great! We got a call he was on the way, and he replaced the spring with a stronger pair and fixed the door in about an hour.

When our garage door opener started acting up a few weeks ago, I knew exactly who to call. Margo and John are a complete delight to work with. I had LOTS of questions and they took the time with me and answered every question I had and made recommendations based on those questions. Again, the install was scheduled quickly and I cannot say enough about the quality of John's work. He arrived on time with a quick courtesy call when he was on his way, he went right to work and had the old unit removed and new unit installed along with wall mounted controls and courtesy programming of my car and two additional remotes within 2 hours. John is very meticulous in his work, he hides wires as much as possible, and everything was just top notch. He even hauled off the old opener for us. I would and will recommend this company to anyone I know needing garage door work.

Couldn't have been happier with the service. John was out the day after I called for service and was right on time.  In addition to replacing the torsion spring, he performed some long overdue maintenance on both of our doors. A few days later when were were having trouble with our other garage door, he arrived the first thing the next morning, made a few minor adjustments to the controller unit and we were back in business (at NO charge).  I wish all of our service work could be managed this way.

This was the second time we have used Dean. The first time, a couple of years ago, he replaced broken springs on one garage door and reinstalled most of the structure (at NO EXTRA CHARGE!) which he showed us had been installed incorrectly. The cost for everything was only $160.00. Today he installed a new belt driven system and opener on the other door because the motor on the existing one had gone bad. He then reinforced the garage door, which should have been done by the original installer, and moved an inconvenient wall opener switch to a more accessible place. The cost for everything was $400.00 Dean is courteous, pleasant, thorough, and very professional. And I know from past experience that his prices are excellent. He has my highest recommendation.

This was my first time using an Angie's List recommended service and I was not disappointed. I called late Friday afternoon with a problem with our garage door not closing properly. John was able to come out the next day (which was a Saturday). He arrived during the two hour window I was given on Friday and I was called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way.
From start to finish John was professional and efficient. Very honest and upfront about everything he was going to do. His prices are fair and I really appreciated how he went the extra mile to lube the door tracks and replace the light bulb while he was up on the ladder adjusting the opener.

The work was performed quickly, cleanly, and with no call-back
needed. I really appreciated their knowledge and handling of the repair
job. I felt like Deans are really concerned that their customers get
what they need and are happy with the solution. I would give this
company an A+ if Angie's had one. Minor grievance is they do not accept
electronic payments. Checks or cash only.

Mr. Dean responded within a day of our call, and the work was completed in a couple of hours.

He was very professional and answered all our questions and explained what he was doing and why.

There are so many good things to say about our experience in dealing with Deans Door Service it's hard to decide where to start. So in chronological order, first we found them on Angie's List with superb ratings which they clearly deserved. From our first contact with their staff till the end, we were treated like royalty by folks who were friendly, very easy to like, exceptionally competent and professional, and above all....honest. On that last point both my wife and I have no interest in subjecting ourselves to the high pressure sales tactics exhibited by many companies in the windows and doors world. In contrast John Deans is one of those rare, salt of the earth, likeable, no BS kind of pros we should see more of these days. For example, we fell in love with a particular design for our garage door, but we inadvertently selected a very expensive type of construction. John noticed that and pointed out that we were about to spend more money than necessary. He actually talked himself out of additional profit ! That may be hard to imagine but I swear it is true. The installation day came as scheduled and John, working alone, had the door installed quickly and operating perfectly. Then to frost the cake, he removed all of the packing materials along with the old door and hauled this stuff away. But before leaving he cleaned the entire garage floor in a way that made my cleaning efforts look pretty shabby. It used to be the case that Nordstrom's had the lock on customer satisfaction, winning top honors year after year. In point of fact they were very good at taking care of their customers,but they could not on their best day hold a candle to Deans Door Service. In short, if you are thinking of dealing with any other company for a project like ours, please give John Deans a call first. I can promise you that you'll be glad you did. Slainte !

Last night my garage door spring broke, trapping my two cars inside. Unable to get to work the next morning, I called several door services. I was met with comments like: "we'll see what we can do, but no promises", or :"I am sorry, but you'll have to wait until tomorrow". When I called Dean's , I was surprised that the owner happened to be in my neighborhood finishing up a previous job. Within an hour he was at my door.

I have had experiences with garage door companies before. I can tell you categorically that John Dean (owner) runs a reputable, customer friendly business. It was obvious from the moment that he met me at the door that he was interested in providing me with quality service at a fair price.

Within an hour, he had not only replaced the broken door spring, but also installed a second one to make the door work more efficiently. The price was very fair and he didn't leave until I was completely satisfied.

Dean's Door Service deserves the highest rating possible. Rarely have I seen a contractor who is as customer focused and quality conscious as John Dean. I plan to order an insulated garage door from him in the near future!

I have a two car garage with a single door and the spring broke on Sunday. I found Deans Door Service online Monday morning and called them first b/c the were local. John was able to fit me in that day. This is a big door and the original builder only put in one spring, John recommended replacing it with 2 springs. He also noticed a crack in one of the sections and recommended installing an additional support strut.
Aside from his friendliness and professionalism, he worked quick and diligently. He also added some additional hardware to shore up and better support the lift arm and track that the cable runs across without charge. And to finish things up, lubed all of the tracks, etc.
He went above and beyond my expectations in just replacing a spring and at an outstanding price. I truly expected to pay a lot more for the service provided.
There is an obvious difference in the operation of the door now. It's much quieter, no rattling and the motor no longer seems like it is struggling to open the door. Even my 7 yo noticed the difference!

John was fantastic. We knew he was good right from the get go. He pointed out things in his estimating process that others were not even covering. He noted that we did not have to replace our garage door opener (even thought we did) and why replacing various parts were required. He pointed out issues with the current structure of the door and at no cost put those into his estimate. He came out and did the work in a morning quickly and with no issues. He even noted some water issues we had around the garage and how to fix them. The overall experience was great and he also made sure based on the model and manufacturer we used that we received the proper discount and on-going promotions.

John the owner showed up right before a holiday and saved the day! Not only did he fix the door but replaced the rails and basically tuned up the opener for just a nominal, additional cost. He really went above and beyond.

Pricing is very fair and this provider shows a lot of integrity and will stand behind his work. Appointments are kept and he is on-time. This is the second time that I have used his services.
