ALPINE TOTAL EXTERIORS

I hired Alpine Total Exteriors to paint the cap on my chimney, which was rusted. The cost was very fair, and the work was performed quickly. In the course of discussing that work, I brought up the fact that my basement was flooding during heavy rains. The workman (owner?), David, examined my gutters and suggested that fixing one corner where gutter screens were interfering with the drainage might fix the problem. He suggested, too, that a larger downspout section might help, but volunteered that that would be more expensive and should be the second resort. He fixed the gutter, and I have seen absolutely no water in the basement in the six months since he did the work, despite some very heavy rains. I"m pretty confident that he fixed the problem, and for less than $200. My roof is very high, and I am too fearful of ladders to ever consider climbing up there. I greatly appreciate David's honesty in assessing the work and not trying to take advantage of the fact that I could not examine the conditions myself.
