This was not my first time using Wynne Plumbing as I have contracted them on four occasions on different houses.Josh Wynne and one helper explained from the beginning what was going to happen and why the failures occurred. Further, he and his employee were presentable, punctual, and offered future help should anything go wrong, but added both jobs should not cause any problems for years to come. Consistency, dependability, integrity, and at a fair price are the benchmark characteristics of this company. I look forward doing business with Wynne Plumbing in the future.

The kitchen sink at the garbage disposal was blocked and there is no easy access to the pipe. So the old copper piping was cut out to the wall, replaced with 1.5 inch pvc. and the drain was snaked. Since the drain was pulled apart, he relocated the 'u' so it is positioned below the second sink. This is helpful, because it prevents the second sink (the one without the disposal) from coming up when the disposal is turned on. He did a good job and we are happy with the results, but the price of about $325 seems high.

I thought the price was little high. He did a nice job and he definitely improved it with moving the U over. He came right away, I think the next day.

The price was definitely worth it. It was one guy and he was excellent. We would use them again.

I had a leak coming from my upstairs shower along with a high pitched squeeling noise. As stated above he was very professional and would use them again.

Billy Wynne is the owner. We have no problems whatsoever with him. He knows a lot of different people who do a lot of different things. If he recommends them, they are good. We called another company right before Christmas to clean our laundry. They sent somebody out to clean it, but that guy didn’t have the head on his snake properly and he lost it in the drain. We just had to blow it up out to the street. Then they came out a couple of days later and put another instrument in, but it didn’t deflate. Then they couldn’t get it out. I spent about $37000 to have my pipe pulled up and replaced. Then one of my neighbors told me about Billy Wynne. He does a lot of the restaurants and stuff in Virginia Beach. So, I contacted him and he was out here the next day. There was one company that dug a trench in the house half way across. Then they said that was the structural wall and that was beyond their capabilities. So, I was frustrated. When Wynne came out, he said he could do all of that. He said that everything would cost me in the neighborhood of right around $4500. He said that he would be there in the morning. He then came out and did a fabulous job. They got right with it and stayed with it until it was done. They didn’t stop and so, I recommend him to anybody. They also had to dig a 3 foot down trench and cut a slab. They had to do some demolition and the house was a total mess when the first crew did the work. When Billy came in, he came in with a jackhammer and he used vacuum there to pull that. He covered everything and started demolishing the concrete to get down to the pipes. He didn’t leave a mess at all and cleaned everything up. He also gave me some good tips. He is a bigwig here locally with the plumber’s union. He said that he would put all the concrete back and the seal on it when he was finished. He said he would do everything, but not put the carpets back down. He said that the reason behind it was for it to set for at least a week. He said that you won’t realize if the concrete has been completely cured or not once the carpet is put back down and it would also rot the carpet. That’s why you should never put it down. A lot of people like to do it and finish up, but the customer doesn’t realize that the carpet is rotting. So, he said that he would come back to put the carpet back. He was very good with us. He was out the next day when I had a leak underneath my kitchen sink. He sent his son out who is a plumber as well. It cost me right around $100 and it was lower than what I had expected. The guy knew what he was doing and he got it taken care of in no time at all. The price charged by him was right. The quality of his work was fantastic. When it comes to his responsiveness, I talked to him that night, he gave me a price and he was out here the following morning. They stayed right with it. They didn’t leave until it was dark and they were right back the following morning. So, they were real good with their responsiveness. They were definitely professional and I would use their services in the future too.

I called Billy (on the advice of a friend) because I suddenly had this weird banging noise in Bath #1. The phone number goes to an answering service after work hours and Billy responded in less than 3 minutes. I described the problem and he said that someone would be out the next day. Jay came out the next day and was able to duplicate the problem until he turned on the tub. Once he did that the problem was not able to be duplicated. He left and told me to call if the problem continued. A few hours after he left, the problem started back up. I called Billy and spoke to him and he said he would come out himself. Billy came out with another plumber, Rob. Billy took a long look at the home inspector's report and photographs. Rob went under the house to see what was going on. Just as I suspected, there was A LOT of random plumbing under there! The house was built in 1954, had one owner and had two major renovations done by the homeowner and his family (including moving kitchen to a completely different area in the 60s, adding a second bathroom in the 70s, moving the laundry room in the 70s and adding a dishwasher in the 80s). And a lot of the plumbing used low quality materials. Billy and Rob replaced the drain and the line from the tub. The old drain was on there so poorly that Rob just used his hand and with no effort had disconnected it! Once the drain was installed, they checked it for leaks. By doing that, we knew we would be unable to be certain that it took care of the banging but Billy was confident. He told me that if the banging was present in a couple of hours to call him and he would come back. About two hours after he left, the banging was back. Billy was flabbergasted and said that he was going to use a camera. He said that he was very interested in finding the problem and that this would be a story for his plumber buddies. He and Rob came back two days later with the camera. As I mentioned, the camera was really cool. He could barely get around the first bend. He called for Jay to come out so they could use this thing to clear the line. I have no idea what it is called but it was a long cord and on the end it looked like propellers made out of razor blades. When they powered it up, it spun at a high rate and chopped everything in its path. After they cleared the line, going through the roof vent all the way to the sewer connection, Billy put the camera in again. Not only did it go around the first bend with ease, he was able to get it all the way out. He was able to show me where the line was bowed and collecting water. Billy called me a couple of hours after he left and I was happy to say that the problem was solved! Billy is great at explaining things. So many people in the service field either can't or won't explain things but Billy is definitely not one of those guys. He let me see everything he was doing and answered every question completely. His rates are completely fair and reasonable and he took into consideration that they had to come out again to correct the problem. I have four indoor cats and since Billy and Rob were in and out, I asked if they wanted me to lock them up. They said, no, they would be careful and they were. They made sure the door was fully shut every time that they went in or out. Billy stopped to pet the ones that went up to him for attention. He was very clean. He wiped his feet and hands before coming back in the house. He used my outdoor spigot to run water to clean the camera and he made sure to do it where no one would be walking. I have full confidence in his work and would definitely use him again.

Wynn-Star Plumbing was a company referred to us by One Personal Touch Services INC. First off this company is great. Serviceman came out on a friday cut hole in the ceiling and found out the cause for the leak in the ceiling right away. They came back out the following Monday to finish all the plumbing. They reinstalled a incorrectly installed toliet. They fixed the drainage that was leaking in the ceiling and quickly installed an access panel in our master bathroom shower. They were very quick and very professional and the job was done right. They corrected all the little problems left by a prior remodeling company. I would definately recommend this company if you have any plumbing and drainage problem.

He overcharged me and did not come though on being an honest businessman. Apparently he has become a greedy man. After he did this work and had mentioned his name to several people and to my surprise they also had negative experiences with WynneStarr. Upon, reading the provider response from a third party whom was never involved with this transaction I found it to be ludicious and very unprofessional and dishonest. I am the customer why in the world would I be founded liable in this matter. The Home Depot Manager saw how Wynne Starr Plumbing was trying to rip me off also and attained reimbursement for me with his highest integrity. I asked Wynne Star to leave my home (third party claims I did not?) Wynne Star complicated the warranty of my hot water heater by not stopping the repair that I never asked him to do. I asked him to "CHECK IT OUT" ONLY!! Screw Wynne Starr. They never refunded my money either. The credit card company gave me a FULL CREDIT because Wynne Starr never did. In review of the business response here-they deserve to be put into the Angies List Penalty Box.
Response from Wynne Star Plumbing & Drain Inc

"As a company who values their reputation in this industry and in this community we regret to hear that any customer is ever unhappy with our services. However, the facts presented by this customer are not only incomplete, but untrue. The customer was given an estimate by the owner over the phone, in which she was explained this was a general quote without being able to evaluate the specifics of the job onsite. We completed work on two separate items in her home, the first being to install a garbage disposal provided by the customer. The second piece of work involved the hot water heater. Upon assessing the water heater that was previously purchased from and installed by Home Depot, Billy, the co-owner of the company, explained the hot water heater itself was not leaking; it was the pipe to the heater. The customer did not ask Billy to leave her home or to terminate the work in progress. The customer did however speak with Home Depot and attempt to obtain a free water heater replacement. Billy advised the store exactly what was explained to the customer; it was not the hot water heater leaking, but the pipe on top of the heater. As is the industry standard, the tank itself is what is under warranty, a problem with a pipe leading into the tank does not afford the customer a new heater. Upon learning she would not get a free hot water heater, this is when the customer became angry and claimed to be dissatisfied. Although we stand by our actions and our work on this job, customer service and customer satisfaction are the cornerstones on which we have built our business. For this reason, we refunded this customer $140.00 of her original $240.00 bill. The inflamed and deceitful post from this customer is a malicious reaction to one thing, not having a warranty cover something it should not and never would have covered. Billy simply told Home Depot the truth about his assessment. Abiding by the integrity that our company, our owners, and our employees operate upon is not something we will apologize for."

Given the amount of time they spent here, the parts they used, and the speed it took to finish the job, I am very pleased. It was an extensive job because the piping was all corroded. They were very nice and very professional. I would definitely give them an A+. I also thought they charged me a very reasonable price.

I felt very comfortable having them in my home. They did a nice job of installing our new sump pump and cleaning out our sewer line. They came on the scheduled time and provided us with good customer service. We have used them in the past, and I have been happy with the results I get from them.

I had to have my pipes under my kitchen sink replaced due to a leak that I couldn't get fixed. I have had this leak for quite some time now and it just started to get worse so I finally decided to call and get it fixed. When the workers came out to install the new pipes, they were very courteous. They didn't make a big mess and were very quick to get the job done. I am just glad I finally got rid of my leak.
