Window Depot USA of Tidewater

Window Depot USA were very efficient and did exactly what they said they were going to do. We were very happy with all the work they did and we have no complaints whatsoever. They did a great job.

Provided reasonable estimate. No problem scheduling work. Good communication leading up to the installation. Work was finished on time. Work area was left very clean.

Installation went well but communication was very poor and unprofessional. They cancel an installation but fail to let the customer know so they are waiting at home for nothing. This needs to change!

I had numerous bids from several local and national companies. Bids came in from $20,000 to $5,000. I chose Window Depot after a very good conversation with Rick. He took the time to explain everything Window Depot would be doing. Rick, on the sales side, was very personable and knowledgeable. Summer, on the operations side, was very helpful. Cory and his assistant were prompt, efficient and good. Everything was done on time or earlier! The install job was excellent! The coil wrap job was superb! The windows, LowE, Argon, Double Hung was excellent! I could not be happier.            

I am very pleased overall.  From the sales person to the installers.  Everything went smooth and I didn't feel pressured at all.  I told them what I wanted and they accommodated with no harassing upgrades or extra stuff I was not interested in.

They were the cheapest in the area. I was very satisfied with their work.

    When we decided to have our windows replaced, we got estimates from several reputable companies. Neither my husband nor I know much about windows, and after the rep from one company left, we still didn't. He didn't explain much of anything, just basically tossed a price at us and left. We were discouraged. 
    Then Angelo Collins, co-owner of Window Depot, arrived, and by the time he left, we felt like window experts. He brought in a sample window, explained everything about it, explained about lead abatement (for houses built before the late 70's), told us about their manufacturer, explained all about the warranty, and then gave us a price that blew everyone else out of the competition. We were sold.
    The windows were ready in a few weeks, and the installation was scheduled for July 7th. Cory (the lead installer) and his very competent partner (I wish I knew his name) showed up exactly on time, got right to work, and I was astonished at how fast it all went. These guys have it down to a science. They were extremely pleasant, conscientious about not leaving any mess, and did their very best to protect the shrubs beneath the windows. 
    The job would have been completed in one day if only the thunderstorms had held off for another hour. But, with only 3 more windows to wrap, the sky opened up and they were rained out. The next morning, they came back early, while we were at work, and finished up. We came home to a beautiful house, with all new windows, and not even one tiny shred of trash left behind. They even took the old awnings and disposed of them for us.  
    From beginning to end, our experience with Window Depot was uncomplicated and professional, and it was a real pleasure dealing with them. The windows are perfectly installed, high quality, and everyone seemed dedicated to maintaining a very high standard of customer satisfaction. 
    I highly recommend calling them if you have the need for any of the services they provide. As a matter of fact, now we need a new front door to go with our new windows. I'm not even going to call anyone else for a price. I'm just going to call Window Depot. I know I won't be sorry. You won't either. They're awesome!

How often does it happen that one of the lowest bids ends up being the best product and service? Rarely, but it really was in this case. We received 7 bids in total. One as high as $40,000.00 (get real). Anyway, Window Depot had outstanding service and was very responsive to our many questions and concerns as we were deciding which company to choose. We checked with all the big names and even 2 private contractors. Window Depot was within $100 of the lowest and because of the responsiveness of the owner, Steve, and their manager Summer the choice was easy. Even their mid grade window was very high quality. You could immediately notice a difference in reduced outside noise and comfort in the house. The installation crew, Cory and Adam, did a great job. They are both detail oriented, reliable, and friendly. They always showed up when scheduled and did an excellent job of cleaning up after the job, inside and out. I could not have been happier with the quality of the windows, their installation, or our interaction with the company. My wife and I have already recommended Window Depot to others and would strongly encourage Angie's list members to give them a call and get a quote if you are considering replacement windows.
