1. The toilet and vanity sink were put in the bathtub after part of the bathroom floor and tile were removed
2. An object that was on the top of the doorframe was removed, not placed back
3. There was a picture taken off the wall and not placed back on the wall, its resting on a pillow that was taken from my side of the bed
4. Items from the vanity and over the toilet storage were placed on my bed on clean clothes. That included items on the floor, the rest was placed under my bed
5. On my side of the bed items were moved to a different part of the floor, why did they go there?
6. They had to go under the side of the house to ck the insulation, the vent was not put back. The front vent fell off
7. Curtain panel near the doorframe was taken down and not replaced, was draped across the bed
8. I was never told to close the bathroom vent so mold spores would not go thru the duct work, I have to have them cleaned out
"Thank you for your feedback. We always value constructive criticism--it creates a valuable opportunity for us to improve our business. We were very surprised to receive this review since you did not communicate any of these issues to any of our workers, including myself, at any time during the restoration process. Additionally, you signed our standard Certificate of Satisfaction form upon our completion of the work on 05.11.15 and checked "Yes" to everything listed on our form, including 1. "Are you satisfied with the work that was done?" 2. "Was the technician polite?" 3. "Was the technician helpful?" 4. "Would you use Water Damage Solutions again?". We only learned of your dissatisfaction through this post on Angie's List several weeks after the work was complete...When we recently reached out to you in an attempt to address your concerns, you were unable to provide us with any clear means by which we could gain your satisfaction. If there is anything that we can do to improve your experience with our company, please contact us at 757-490-9110 and let us know...When we first arrived at your home, your bathroom had mold growth resulting from a pipe leak. There was water damage and mold on your vanity as well as a portion of the drywall behind it. The bathroom vent was open upon our arrival. Because your vent had been open for anywhere from weeks to months while mold was growing in your bathroom, prior to starting our work, we advised you to hire a duct-cleaning company to sanitize the ducts. We set up the appropriate containment and installed a HEPA air-filter while we performed the necessary tear-out. We also treated the affected area with Microban QGC. This work was performed by John Stone, a Cleantrust-Certified Water Damage Restoration Technician and IOT-Certified Mold Technician. John has performed over 500 restoration jobs since he started working with us in March 2008...We moved some items in your bathroom and your bedroom in order to both set up the necessary containment and to create a clear and clean path for both ourselves and your rebuild contractors. This prep work was done for the sake of protecting your home and the items contained within it. While we are confident that we effectively dried and disinfected your home while protecting it in the process, we clearly could have done a better job communicating to you the reasoning behind our actions. That likely would have given you peace of mind. I have used this job as an educational tool for our technicians--a reminder of the importance of communicating the purpose and intent behind each of our deliberate actions. I am certain that improved communication will greatly improve our process as we strive to help our customers restore their homes in the wake of a water loss. Sincerely, Steve Kellogg (Water Damage Solutions)"
