Didn’t install expansion joint, just used a concrete groover. Also let a lot of cement spray on siding of house. Called and received a nasty response

Concrete Repair
Easy to work with in the beginning. However, when the job was complete my fence section they removed to get their equipment through was messed up. I was told they would put plywood on the ground to run their bobcat on.....that did not happen. I called them later the same day and advised the bobcat had destroyed the corners of the storm water drain on the street. Owner got angry and said he would send someone to repair. Sent him pictures of holes in the concrete, which was poured three (3) months ago. No response.

If you are looking for quotes for a new or replacement cement driveway. I did all of the research for you. Just call Virginia Beach Hardscapes at 757 309-9631. I picked them out of 6 quotes. They did my driveway, sidewalk, and patio at very good price. The workers are hardworking and professional. These guys know what they are doing.

Great job! Easy to work with Bill and everything was done on time, at the contract price. He was the only concrete company that actually came out to my house to do the estimate. The other two companies I got estimates from gave estimates over the phone and email only. Bill's personal touch got him the job!

The company and owner "Bob" was not responsive to my request to repair holes and a crack in the concrete two weeks after the initial pour. Also, the side walkway was not tilted to lead water away from the house.

OUTSTANDING! Most professional. Punctual when scheduling estimate as well as installation. The work done could not have been done better and at a reasonable price. The entrance way was stamped concrete.. Hardscapes did more than I expected.. Would hire again and definitely recommend for any driveway, entrance way, patio or any concrete work.

I am EXTREMELY pleased with the work I had done by Virginia Beach hardscapes! The owner, Bill, was the one who came out to do my estimate. He was SO friendly, like talking to an old friend. I got 2 other estimates. His was very similar to another estimate, but his personality sold me! He and his team were punctual, professional, and did excellent work! You won't be disappointed! I actually plan on hiring them again to tear up my EXISTING driveway and redo that also asap! (This time was just an expansion)

Bill Watson and his crew did a WONDERFUL job! They tore the old driveway out without ruining my yard or damaging the asphalt in front of the house. They laid out the new driveway exactly how I envisioned it, and finished the new concrete so the final product looks fabulous! Bill gave me an estimate mid December and the driveway was demo'd and redone around New Years day. Bill's team had the entire thing done in a couple of days and the new driveway looks fantastic, not to mention the price was very reasonable! I would highly recommend Virginia Beach Hardscapes. I had an estimate given in September and told him I wanted to have it done end of January. They started it on Monday and finished today Jan 29. They did an excellent job and will definitely use them in the future. They stand behind their work and it is top quality.

1. Mr. William Watson and his crew started the job within the prescribed time frames per agreement. 2. Personnel worked every day to get the work completed. 3. There were no hidden costs. 4. When problems were encountered, Mr. Watson took correct actions and kept us abreast of the situation. He always kept us informed. He allowed us time to investigate some old buried cables that were underneath our driveway apron (They were not energized. They were verified retired in place.) 5. When we needed something to be corrected, Mr Watson made sure it was accomplished. 6. Virginia Beach Hardscapes did a great job! I would highly recommend them and would definitely hire them again! We have received many compliments on their work. A few people driving by have asked for their contact information.

Wife and I had numerous companies to come out an give us quotes. We were a bit hesitant when Bill came in quite a bit cheaper than other quotes but he had terrific reviews here on Angie's List so we decided to go with him. Could not be more pleased. I have renovated several homes and dealt with many, many contractors. Of all of them, VB Hardscapes was head and shoulders above the rest in every way. VB Hardscapes did a LOT of work at my home for concrete, drainage correction, and pool pavers. Bill was incredible every step of the way. From our first meeting, Bill was a joy to meet and work with. He listened to what I was hoping to achieve and gave me some great suggestions. His pricing was broken down for each project in a way that allowed me to easily see the cost, and that pricing was very fair. Extent of work: Tear out old driveway and pour new 22' driveway Lay drainage pipe under new driveway to allow for proper drainage Tear out old walkway and pour new curved path "Topping" on garage floor to raise and correct slope Pour side yard concrete and modify slope to house to fix drainage issue Grade back side yard, compact, and lay large gravel area for sheds Grade and lay gravel for underneath new deck Run drainage lines, connect gutters, and divert rain runoff away from foundation Tear out old patio concrete Install overlay pavers and coping around pool deck Install pavers for walkway from pool deck to gate Bill was extremely patient with me as I made changes to several of the projects and fairly priced my modifications. The quality of work was outstanding and the men on the job were meticulous in their work and cleanup. Bill came every day to check the progress, update me, and see if I was pleased. He also came back when I had a couple of loose pavers and fixed them at no cost. He was very personable, and I now count him as a friend. I am so happy with the work I had done, and love going outside now to see my giant driveway, lovely curved front walk, and beautiful pavers around my once ugly pool deck. I feel secure now knowing my drainage problems with water flowing to my foundation are fixed. I highly recommend VB Hardscapes and would not hesitate to use them again. Outstanding in every way!

Bill did an outstanding job of removing an old broken driveway that had a serious flooding problem with a new driveway that no longer floods. He is so easy to work with, and his price was well under other estimates. We are extremely pleased with his work, and we would hire him again as well as recommend him to anyone who has a problem with flooding and/or their driveway.

Bill and his crew did an excellent job with the replacement of our driveway and sidewalk. Bill provided a fair estimate and communicated throughout the entire project. The crew was great. The job site was clean during the demo and after the job was complete. Bill even helped install conduit under the driveway for any future plumbing and electrical needs at no cost. I would definitely use Bill and his crew again for any future projects.

Virginia Beach Hardscapes recently dug up my old concrete patio and built a new one using pavers from Eagle Bay. Bill Watson and his crew did an outstanding job and the final product looks so attractive. The project was started in the time frame promised and completed in a timely manner. The crew was responsive to questions during the entire process, worked very efficiently, and cleaned up the yard and surroundings thoroughly at the completion of the project.
