Unique Plumbing

PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT HIRE THIS OWNER TO PERFORM SERVICES!!!!  This was a multi-day project.  Removal of existing materials was not a problem.  The major problems arose when he was near completion of the job.  I came home from work one day and decided to inspect the work.  I quickly found the faucet knob misaligned and loose.  It was then I decided to remove the knob and found he had "rigged" some cut PVC pipes in between the shower surround and the 2x4's in the wall to stabilize the faucet.  I came home early the next day, the day he was supposed to collect money, and he said "you're home early today"!  It was at this point I showed him his "rigged" work.  I, the one paying for the services, had to tell him "how" to fix the job and when I showed him the three pieces of pipe he had lodged in between the wall he had a surprised look upon his face.  It took him about three additional hours to rectify the problem....so I thought.  After the job was complete the shower had been used three or four times when I noticed water spots in the ceiling downstairs.  Upon looking in an access panel in the downstairs bathroom for something totally unrelated I noticed sitting water in between the walls.  I immediately went upstairs and turned the water on and came back downstairs and to my amazement water was running down in between the walls.  I immediately called him and he said he would be out tomorrow.  He came and began to research the job and I told him I had already diagnosed the problem.  He had installed an access panel in the adjacent bedroom upstairs so he could gain access to the plumbing after he had installed the shower surround and tub.  I looked in it to troubleshoot the leak and noticed water leaking from underneath the tub coming from and improperly installed drain.  He repaired the leak and it was at that point I asked him about repairing the damage (the stains on the ceiling, the buckled drywall, baseboard, 3 cabinets each for a total of $1,700....oh yeah, labor charges too).  To my amazement he told me he would turn this in to his insurance  company as soon as he left.  Well, he left without giving me any contact information for his insurance provider and has not answered his phone nor returned any of our phone calls.  If you have any questions please refer to my opening sentence of this post!!!!

I was immensely pleased with his can do attitude and quick efficient skill. He was very polite wiping his feet upon entrance and patiently explaining what he was doing as he went. I am overly pleased with this company Unique Plumbing and will call this company without any hesitation!
