Mark Antelek replied to my request for service very promptly and made an appointment within the week with me to come to my house to work on my lamp. He arrived promptly at the appointed time and spent more than an hour diagnosing the problem after which he advised me that I had a defective dimmer switch and as they are not available locally for this lamp, I would have to order a new one for the lamp company. I wanted to pay him for his time and efforts, but he said that as he didn't fix my lamp there would be no charge. I fully expected to pay for his services as I had in the past and said so as well as expressing my appreciation for his unusually fair business practice.

Excellent, in-home, service. My lamps had unusual fixtures which needed to be replaced. Mark was knowledgeable, prompt, friendly, and very reasonable. I highly recommend him.

Mark was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant.  He worked quickly and efficiently, and the cost was minimal.

After determination that he could not repair it at our house, Mark picked up lamp, replaced broken wiring and socket, and delivered back to our home within a week.

I was very pleased with his knowledge and efficiency in repairing 4 old lamps in about 1/2 hour. It was nice not to have to carry them all to a shop. Definitely would recommend him to friends and will call him for future needs.

He returned my initial call the same day, and ordered the parts needed.  We made an appointment for him to come by the house.   He was here right on time and did a great job in replacing my light fixture and repairing my lamp.  it was very convenient to have him come to my house instead of my having to take my lamp to a shop somewhere and leave it.  I highly recommend The Lamp Doctor and will use him in the future for any lamp fixture replacement or repair.

The lamp had been out of commission for a number of years, and I was getting ready to throw it out -- decided to contact Mark to see if it was worth saving.  He came back to me very quickly with a fair price for getting it working -- and once I gave the go-ahead, the lamp was repaired within 24 hours.  Mark even delivered the lamp to me at my office!

He came by my house, picked up a broken outdoor light fixture, replaced all electrical parts and then delivered it, too! He had originally quoted me $50 and when he delivered the lamp, he only charged me $35, saying it was easy to repair.

I emailed provider and he called me and made an appointment for Monday, 6/23/14, between 11 and 12. He called at 10:30 and let me know he was on the way. He arrived within 15 minutes of his phone call. It took him about 10 minutes to repair BOTH lamps and the charge was $35.00.

I called Mark because of an emergency- a fallen and broken hanging lamp. He came exactly as promised and returned exactly as promised (when I did not have the parts I thought I had) and did a first rate job. An and quot;Aand quot; in all categories.

I cannot thank Mr. Antalek enough for the excellent job he did repairing the chandelier in our house. It had to be rewelded and a hard-to-find missing piece had to be obtained. He had to stand on a kitchen counter in order to rehang the fixture and he even brought a blanket to protect the counter. He made sure that the job was done correctly and safely and was very professional. He definitely saved me from having to purchase another light fixture for my kitchen. I highly recommend The Lamp Doctor if you need any sort of light fixture hung or repaired.

I called Mr. Antalek with questions about a faulty bathroom vanity light fixture and he was able to do some preliminary diagnostics over the telephone and was even offering appt availability the next morning. He arrived exactly on time and took a look at the light fixture to find that, due to a manufacturer design flaw, the fixture could not be repaired. He was then gracious enough to install a back-up fixture that we had purchased which ended up looking better than the original fixture. He charged less than the original estimate due to the changed in required services. His service was very timely and professional, and we would definitely hire him again!

Mr. Antalek (The Lamp Doctor) gave me an appt. time and followed with a call when he was on his way to my house. He had the part needed to fix my crystal lamp on his truck. He was punctual, personable and professional. I would use him again and recommend him for a llight repair.
