Usually we take our Dogo Argentino with us when we travel and this was the first time he couldn't join us. We had never boarded him and were very apprehensive and it was a bit of a last minute situation. We visited several (actually the few that would accept his breed) kennels and were very underwhelmed by what we found and worried about what to do with our big boy. We decided to make the 40 minute drive to Shipp's Corner just to see if maybe it would be better and it was!. They were great with our boy, had no qualms about having him as their guest. They were very understanding of our many calls checking on him as well. 

Well I would have to say the folks at Shipp's Corner did a wonderful job caring for our boy! He looked great, he was happy, and he seemed to really like the staff, he wasn't in a hurry to leave . They even went so far as to let him play in the water hose when they found out that he loves when we let him play with the water hose in our backyard.

I would use Shipp's Corner again in a heartbeat AND I would recommend them without hesitation.

They are very friendly and close to where I live. They are very reliable and quick.

They did everything and it was fantastic. They were very well priced and they took care of my dog very well. His haircut was great. They were very friendly. I will definitely use them again.

Our very shy Great pyrenees loved her stay at Shipps Corner.They were very gentle and accommodating with her. I'm sure she appreciated being taken out so frequently to exercise and play. She is not very good with men, but the male staff member that worked with her was excellent.

We have been clients of this facility since it opened. We have three dogs (a newfoundland, a golden retreiver and a pomeranean). In particular, our newfoundland has a nyriad of medical problems and medications/accomodations that need to be taken into consideration. We board several times a year with Shipp's Corner as well as use their grooming services and have always been happy with the care that they have given to our canine family members.

I don't make this review lightly, as anyone who knows us, know that our dogs ARE FAMILY MEMBERS. I don't know that there are too many owners who are quite as particular as to the care of their pets as we are. We would probably be considered difficult by most.

The staff has always been responsive and considerate of our needs and concerns. We have had friends do unexpected "Drop In" visits to check on our pets and go through the facility and there has never been any problems.

Yes, there have been times when there has been a change in staff (groomers, kennel staff) but if/when we've had concerns, these concerns have always been addressed promptly and courteously.

Some may find the services expensive, but in this case, I'm a believer in "You get what you pay for". We have used other facilities at times out of necessity (sometimes we had to use our vet's office because of illness of pet or if there was no availability at Shipps Corner) and without fail, the dogs have come back smelling terribly and usually end up with either ear or urinary tract infections. WE HAVE NEVER HAD ISSUES LIKE THIS WHEN USING SHIPP'S CORNER.

I highly recommend this facility to anyone and everyone who is concerned about the care of their pets.

Overall, I won't use this facility again, since I feel very uncomfortable leaving my dog with a company that does not have clear communication and knowledgable staff. It could very well be that the front office staff were not very good, but the caretakers were excellent, but since I had no opportunity to interact with the caretakers, I had to assume that the whole facility was run by similarly managed workers, which of course made me wonder how many of the services I had paid for were actually performed. (The absence of a bath and nail trim further worried me). When I have used boarding facilities in the town where I lived previously, I have never had this lack of confidence in the facility, so please don't take this as a doubting Thomas who won't believe anything she doesn't see. The facility is top notch but the management leaves a lot to be desired, especially since they are the most expensive facility in the area.

Terrible!!! I had an appointment for my dog to be groomed by their groomer who I always use only to pick up a dirty smelly dog, be charged for grooming and then find out my regular girl was gone!! She had been gone and no one even told me. LIARS and CHEATS

Check-in was fast. Staff was friendly. They provided an over-sized 8 by 8 foot glass enclosed room with a raised wrought iron bed. You can log in to their website to view your dog live on their web cam. They provide group playtime with other dogs as well as 2 walks per day. You can also designate which brand of food to provide which was included in the cost.
