Precision Chimney Cleaners

They were on time, professional and fast! The clean/inspect cost was $69.00. When they went up on roof they found that my handyman had put tar on crown (fire hazard) and mortar joints were missing causing damage inside the firebox. They took pictures to show me. We made an appointment for the next day, they were done in about a half hour. I could see the difference from the ground. VERY impressed. The cost was $550.00, but I got a 20% discount, so the cost was $440.00. Good Job Precision.

Very professional and willing to work with you.  The men called when they were on their way and showed me pictures and explained the damage.  The worked with me on what needed repair and finished it within the hour.  I was very happy with their service and would definitely use them again.

We called Precision to get a second quote and we're glad we did. The first provider wanted to resurface the entire chimney for $3K. The gentlemen from Precision came to do the work, which is fairly difficult, and then returned to repair part of the damper that was damaged during the job. Very professional and ethical team. I would recommend them over our first quote provider.

I thought he did a good job. I was pleased with it. He also told that there were other things I might consider doing to the fire place but that was not something that I had to have done before I could use it. He thought that I might be happy if I had got it. I appreciated the fact that he did go ahead and do it because I told him that he had to do it urgently. He was courteous. I actually kind of liked him. I figured I use him again. The price was exactly as advertised. I had mentioned to him that I was on Angie’s List and he told me that it was the same price. I don’t think it was that much of a discount. It was Angie’s List and it was the price that was listed for anyway. I thought he did good quality work. He cleaned up after himself. He didn’t have a problem. Responsiveness was really good. 

Dale, Eddie, "Porkchop" and the rest of the guys from Precision Chimney/Remodeling were a joy to deal with from start to finish.  I've dubbed them our construction supermen.  Dale and the guys came out and worked with us to get the results we wanted in the most economical fashion.  They were always on time if not early.  What I loved most about them is that they over communicated with us.  Letting us know every step of the job what they were doing, why and what all our options were.  The experience was a fully collaborative process. 
The other statement that stood out in my mind was Dale's payment process.  He takes a deposit at the beginning of the job and then says:  I'll collect the balance only when you are 100% satisfied.  Needless to say, we paid them every time at the conclusion of the job because we were 1000%  satisfied.  I highly recommend Dale and Precision Chimney to anyone in Hampton Roads.  We are grateful to them for everything.

Wow, this is the best, quickest, and most professional service you can ask for.... Precision Chimney came out within about a hour after we contacted them early Saturday morning.  We had a fly problem we noticed coming from the chimney.  Once Precision arrived they quickly located a dead squirrel in the chimney, removed it, fixed the cap at the top so no more squirrels could fall down the chimney again, and cleared out the chimney all within about 30 minutes.  Wow, now I get to enjoy the rest of my Saturday because of the great job done by Precision.  Man you can't beat the price only 149* 30% off= 105.  I have used other chimney services in the past but I will not make that mistake again.  Precision is the chimney service I will use as long as I am a homeowner.  GREAT JOB and I highly recommend them to anyone.

Overall it went super.  They were very polite and friendly on the phone, set up an appointment and arrived on time.  The technician was very nice and professional. 

John was the technician, and I can't tell you how happy and relieved
with his intro and quote he was polite and concerned about our problem.
Most important he gave us a break AND discovered an additional problem,
which he added to the service at no extra charge. He went out of his way
to handle it.  I am an out of state owner and this was the best
experience for us as John took pictures and communicated with us the

This actually covers two separate visits they were only a few days apart. I contacted Precision about doing a sweep and inspection. I had a 30% off coupon from Angie's List. While talking with their scheduler I mentioned the coupon and she pointed out that there current special would cost less. The techs came out and performed admirably, quick, thorough and clean all told less then 20 minutes. They showed me were some cracks in the mortar around the chimney cap were allowing water into the fireplace. I called to schedule the repair and then used the 30% off coupon. The techs came and fixed the mortar in about 1/2 an hour. I really like these guys.

We had a pleasant experience working with Precision Chimney. The estimate was completed promptly and explained in professional manner. The technician arrived on time and was even flexible with our work schedules which was much appreciated. The work was performed efficiently and we appriated using the Angie's List Coupon to receive a good price. Called the company fter seeing name in angie's magazine, recognized it was a family business, and decided to make appt and came out within week. Indicated on service report that lew PMP crown 10 yr warrenty would cost $375, parge coarses to be solid 165.00per courses x2 coarses; 2 holes in smoke chamber @ no charge; reseal flashing for 100.00 amounting to 804.00. After discount, costs was 723.00. I did not get any pictures of work before and after job was completed.
I did not get an estimate from another company at that time and I know I should have gotten at least three for cost of repairs before starting each project.
They were called out after hurricane sandy to fix leak on chimney where concrete had eroded. This was covered under warranty.

They gave me a quote, and then, they came back and it was more. I think because they found out I had Angie’s, so, that is really hard for me to say. I never had that kind of work. It was actually a work on my mother’s chimney because I never had a chimney myself, so, I do not know if the price was too much or not. I do not know if I would use them again in the future. The money thing kind of catches me on a little bit.

It was a great experience. Dale and crew were professional and knowledgeable.

They were able to do an inspection immediately.  Inspection was reasonably priced after which they provided a complete assessment as to what was required to 1) make chimney operational, 2) add missing cap & damper system.  They were able to get us on their schedule within days & finish the job in two short visits.  They were prompt, professional, polite, forthright & cleaned up after themselves. 

I used a special email offer to get my chimney cleaned. That part was satisfactory. However, they found a lot of problems and offered to fix them, as they had several hours to the next appointment. I found that odd, as it had taken awhile to get an appointment because they were so booked up. They ended up fixing something that I was told was complex. What they did was basically caulk a few cracks. It took 20 minutes and cost $189. When I complained, nothing was done - they told me that was the going rate.
