Auto Locksmith Service
$150
I have 2 Keys I needed cut. Assuming I needed both programmed. I was told over the phone that 140 for 2 keys, provided, cut and programmed. The tech came out and cut and ?programmed? 2 keys. Long story short after the tech left I checked both keys and noticed that one vehicle didn?t have the light for an immobilizer (I have had the vehicle for all of 2-3 days). When I called to ask why I got charged for 140 for 2 keys to be cut and programmed even though only 1 was programmed I got hit with attitude and rudeness. I also asked the tech why he plugged the scanner in but never mentioned that my car didn?t even need the programming just to be told he looked into it before even getting there. The guy Ryan is a con artist and a disrespectful guy. This business will lie to you and they to get one over on you. I?m reporting this practice to the BBB and hope people will use more locally owned shops like [Competitor Name Removed] as they don?t seem like crooks getting over on people.

I locked my keys in my truck after leaving my VSO appointment because Im a 100% disabled veteran. I called pop a lock and they quickly sent out a technician who was friendly and unlocked my driver side door. However, in the process, the tech scratched the inside of my drivers side door jam down to the bare metal about 1.5” scratch. He then had me sign an invoice by blowing it up on his phone so all I saw was the signature box and told me it was just a confirmation that he opened the lock for me. Later, when I received my email copy, I saw it was actually and invoice with an acknowledgment that no damage had occurred during the work which I obviously wouldn’t have signed. I’ve called pop a lock twice to report the damage and have twice been told a supervisor would contact me and Ive heard nothing. I understand mistakes happen, but I am highly disappointed by the lack of customer service Ive received after the fact from this “veteran owned” franchise.

They were there to help me within twenty minutes of my call. He had me ready to go in about fifteen minutes. He was very nice and honest. I would use him again in the future.

Pop-A-Lock was prompt (30 min from picking up the phone to unlocking the car), professional, efficient and didn't charge an arm and a leg.  I wouldn't hesitate to use them again, hope I never have to.

Overall: very good. Thought the price was a little high, but apparently all contractors are charging a lot nowadays.

This was a difficult situation, because the vehicle was still running while the keys were inside. We had approximately forty-five minutes before the alarm would go off. The area that we were stranded in was difficult for the locksmith to locate, but he arrived just in time. He had us inside the vehicle with five minutes to spare. He was professional and quick about his work.
