Very punctual, very professional and polite but the cost was really beyond what was expected to get two kits from Home Depot. I really should have asked what was required for the repair before I signed approval because I'm pretty sure I could have driven to Home Depot and done the work myself after the diagnosis was made on the leak. Other than price, I was very satisfied with the work and company.

Too expensive, but I had already invested $60. for the estimate, and was pressed for time.

I wish I had read the review about them on Angie's List before we hired them.

Had emergency H20 pipe separation behing the bath tub wall. This ccurred aroud 4:45 pm and reulted in water runnin behind the bathroom wall. An after hours technician was contacted and responded in about an hour. He was able to make the repair to the pipe through the tub faucet opening and avoided having to cut through a bathroom wall. Technicican (Tony) was well qualified , detected and repaired the problem in a timely, and cost effective manner.

When I moved to Chesapeake 10 years ago the house we bought was in need of some plumbing repairs and we called Petit. They did a fantastic job for a number of years for us. However we had a couple of not so hot experiences with them a couple of years ago and stopped using them. When Harold from Petit Plumbing called about servicing our hot water heater, which they installed, I told him I was not interested due to the past couple of experiences. He asked me to please give them a second chance and I said okay. I am so glad I did. Harold showed up at my house, with a wonderful assistant, on time and completed the work quickly and efficiently. The price was great and I could not be happier to have my old plumbing company back! May I just add that I should have called and talked to someone when I was unsatisfied the first time. This company really cares about its customers and the service they provide.

The first thing that Petit Plumbing said to me when I met them was this call will be $65.00. They were very rude, unshaven and didn't introduce themselves. The quote they gave me was me way too much money for the service they would have performed.

They made sure they got their money before they left and did nothing for that $65.00. All they did was waste my time.

DO NOT HIRE THESE PLUMBERS!! I hired them to do a complete removal of old quest pipes in my condo and replace them with pex piping ( over $4,000 job). Then I hired a home inspector to come around behind them and check out the job they did in addition to looking at the whole condo. He found several (not one or two and not minor) safety issues that the plumbers neglected. Here are the things they did wrong, straight from my inspector: ( 1) missing nail guards covering the pipes going through studs – this was in 7 to 8 spots in the house and some were glaring being less than a quarter of an inch from the wall (2) missing insulation on piping in an exterior wall (3) unanchored pipes under the sink (4) loose exterior faucet (5) AND THE BIGGEST ISSUE… they crushed the dryer vent behind a wall with the water pipes causing complete blockage of the venting and creating a serious fire hazard!! I had to speak with a manager and state all these issues to get them to come out and fix them and they continued to make excuses about why the things were missed and why it wasn’t a big deal. They even tried to talk around why crushing the vent wasn’t their responsibility. They did not fix that issue stating that because the venting wasn’t to code it wasn’t their issue. I had to meet with the owner and only after lengthy looking and talking with the city inspectors did I get him to admit that they missed these things and it shouldn’t have happened. He told me that the city did catch the errors and asked them to fix them, but his worker forgot to do it. In addition to this, early in the job a worker called me and stated it would cost $900 more since the shower faucet valves would not work with the new pipes. He stated he could use the old valves but he would have to get me to sign off that if they broke it wasn’t their fault. Again, I had to ask to speak with a manager who then told me a day or two later that the valves would work and it wouldn’t cost extra.
On top of all of these issues which are purely fact, I think they did a sloopy job that didn’t look good. If you look under the sink it looks like an amateur installed the pipes. Not what you want to see when you spend over $4,000 on a job. The owner tried to tell me that they are very reputable and do the right things and other companies do sloppier jobs. Hard to imagine that from looking at the job done in my house. Don’t hire this company unless you know about plumbing and can double check their work. If it hadn’t been for me hiring a home inspector and having the walls still open to see what they missed, my place would be flooded and burned down.

Excellent service, very competent, courteous personnel.
Petit thought the ditch could be hand dug, but after initially doing so determined the ground too hard to complete it in a timely manner. They quickly brought in a backhoe to do the digging. No additional cost. Job completed on time even with the change of plan.
City inspector was complimentary of the work during his inspection.
Minimal disruption to the lawn and shrub beds. Left the landscaped areas as original and the lawn ready for seeding.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Owners and workers were extremely professional. We needed a lot of work done. Mr. Petit came out the same day we called, and workers were at our house the next morning.Petit Plumbing handled the permits and the inspection. They were friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. We recommend them highly!! A job done right at a reasonable price!

They are extremely professional and showed up on time. They performed the job to my liking, however the price was very high in my opinion. $225 to repair the disposal was way to high, when a new one would have been close to the same price. Once they were done with the work, I asked them to price another job for me, for comparison purposes. The price they quoted me was a few hundred dollars more than any other company quoted me. Due to this, I will not be using them again.

Called on a Saturday before Labor Day and they showed up exactly on time, as promised, on Sunday. Quickly diagnosed where the leaks were coming from and called another person to come assist. Stayed all day to replace the pipes. They were extremely professional and friendly and very knowledgable. They cleaned up all of their mess, even wearing socks while on my new carpet. They charge by the job instead of by the hour, which was helpful. Offered a discount if I did 2 more recommended jobs, but just went with replacing the pipes. I would highly recommend. They didn't charge anything extra for a Sunday service or for a holiday weekend and deducted their fee for coming out from the final price.

Petit Plumbing did a wonderful job for me. The pipe was made so you could flush it out from the washer so it wouldn't get clogged up. I have used these guys in the past for various things and they have always done a great job for me. I have no complaints.
