I am not one to write reviews but felt a strong need to write this one for Painting by Michael. Upon meeting Michael you will quickly discover that he is a very charismatic individual and if you allow him to perform his magic on your interior or exterior project you will also discover that he is a man of integrity. His staff is professional, polite and experienced. As we all know behind most successful business is that one woman holding it all together and Painting by Michael is no different with Miss Debbie. The entire organization is top notch from top to bottom. You do not have to spend hours getting quotes just call Michael and I guarantee you will get a fair and competitive price with the highest quality work available. Dave T

I highly recommend Michael's paint service and would definitely only hire him from now on. He is very professional and it is not hard to see that he prides on his work. He and his crew are very respectful with our property. They work very neatly and clean. It's been a year since we hired him to paint a big portion of our house outdoors and our house still looks fresh and new. I am very confident that he is very mindful and used very good quality of paint that would lasts long impressions. What makes him stand out more than other company is that he really cares about his clients. He gives fair prices, he is very kind, very honest and he pretty much treated our family like a good neighbor. He definitely did above and beyond in fulfilling his job. I had Painting by Michael paint the outside of my home - vinyl siding and brick. This is an excellent company to do your project. Michael keeps his appointments and is supportive in the decision making process. He and his crew are happy, arrive on time, work diligently and do a wonderful job. Best of all Michael stands behind his work, responds to questions and concerns and resolves all completely. I would highly recommend this company for any painting project. I just love the transformation from a boring home to a show stopper. A great experience overall.

Fantastic Job. I cannot stress enough how professional this company is. Every single promise was carried through. They started work on the promised date, showed up on time, moved all the furniture and then returned it when the job was completed, with everything cleaned up properly. The paint job was perfect with all the holes accrued over 50+ years patched seamlessly. Every step of the process was done with courtesy and professionalism. All husbands should appreciate that I came home to zero complaints and that is worth every penny of a job well done. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed. Our son was thrilled with his "Philadelphia Eagles" painted bedroom so don't be afraid to ask Michael for something a little out of the ordinary.

We hired Painting by Michael in hopes he could fix a very bad whole house paint job. Have to say they exceeded our expectations in more ways than one. Michaels crew is fantastic. They are knowledgeable, professional, communicative and they must be magicians. Our house could not look better now. We now have a painter we can trust and call. Thank you Painting by Micheals crew! We hired Painting by Michael to paint two downstairs rooms, our 2 story foyer, upstairs hallways and another back stairway area, as well as the ceilings on each of the areas. In fact, once the painting was already underway, we realized the back stairway and its ceiling also needed to be done, and Michael and his crew added that area on to the job with no hesitation. I can not stress enough how excellent this business is !!! I wish I could give them 20 stars rather than 5. Michael made everything easy from the first step, through the job and upon completion. He gave great advice on paint color, such as making it 70% of the full color to give the shade I wanted (he was correct !), and was very meticulous about making sure all the work was done to the highest quality. His crew was very punctual, PLEASANT, EFFICIENT and hard working, as well as being really excellent painters ! They finished everything in 2 days and also came back after the job was done to do a thorough DETAILED inspection of the painting to find and fix any tiny things that may have been missed. They moved and put back our furniture, our drapes and also painted every bit of trim, baseboards, doors and door frames that are in the area of the walls they painted. We didn't even know that they'd do that. To say we are happy with their work is a huge understatement ! The price of the work was very fair too ! Do yourself a favor and get your painting done by Painting by Michael !

Painting By Michael did an outstanding job painting my condo. The owner showed up to provide an estimate and scheduling of the job. I had my entire condo painted, including closets and trim. The owner participated in the supervision of his crew and in the painting to my condo. The crew showed up on time each day, and all of the workers were very professional. The quality of work was outstanding, and they did a great job cleaning up once the job as completed. The job was completed on-time as promised. I would highly recommend Painting By Michael for any of your painting needs, and I plan on hiring them over any other company for any of my painting needs.

They did an excellent job on repairing, cleaning and painting the exterior of our cedar shingled home. Michael even made suggestions that made the new paint job look more complete. I would highly recommend them for your next painting job.

Michael is a true professional and a man of integrity. He is definitely a CUT ABOVE THE REST! One of his crew members by the name of Willie, did some painting in my kitchen after it had been properly prepped by Michael. Michael covered some holes so nicely you would never have known they were there to start with. Willie did a beautiful paint job. Michael and his crew recently completed a major painting project at our home. They were always dependable, pleasant, industrious, and neat. They also returned promptly to complete an area that needed further attention so that all areas would be first rate. I look forward to working with Painting by Michael again.

Michael is very attentive to your ideas and will work with you on colors, etc.. The men he has working for him are courteous, very efficient, and tidy. Everyone that comes to my home just loves the paint! They did a beautiful and I could not be happier!

Michael and his crew did a fantastic job in our two story condo. Couldn't be more pleased! They had a hard go of it because we had construction going on and a lot of furniture to work around. Michael and his entire team were phenomenal. They entered an extremely unkempt , challenging , unhygienic , putrid smelling town home . Without any hesitation , Michael and his team went into action and delivered expeditiously . The painting was gorgeous and work so neat . Always so pleasant . This company deserves above a 5-star rating. For me to say this is very rare as I am a person who is very fastidious and meticulous. When I initially contacted Michael for the estimate of changing color paint for the exterior of our home, I knew right then I wanted him to do the job. The estimate given was very fair and was within our budget that I did not feel the need to call anyone else. I was dazzled by his friendly, professional and caring demeanor. It was like speaking to a family member, that is how comfortable I felt. Michael kept me informed throughout the entire process. I must admit, I was nervous about the paint colors and finish but whenever I called to ask him questions he would put me at ease. His crew came to power wash the house beforehand and did an awesome job, and so quickly. The one thing that truly impressed me is that Michael and his hard-working, courteous and dedicated crew came on a Saturday morning only to paint trim/soffits but Michael knew I was anxious in seeing the stucco color so that I could get a visual, he started painting away. He was climbing the ladder even with an injured leg. He noticed my excitement and kept on. Michael and his crew finished the entire job the next day which was a SUNDAY. This experience exceeded my expectations by far. What should have taken several days, they completed in so little time. Mind you, our home is two story tall over 45 feet and the stucco needed two coats of paint. I just cannot express my gratitude to this company for going above and beyond. Our house now is the most elegant and glamorous looking on the block! People walk by and give compliments all of the time. I simply love, love the transformation! All I can say is that Michael is a man of his word, his work ethic, integrity and respect is totally OUTSTANDING. His sense of humor is contagious too! For anyone looking to have painting done should call Michael only….no need to look any further for other contractors. He is a "MICHAEL-ANGELO" in my book! I'm a demanding/discerning customer. Took the time to get 3 thorough bids. Michael was the middle, but decided to go with him based on thorough discussion and personal touch. He is friendly and likes to chat, but also follows through with what was agreed upon. Nice to find a professional, proud and willing to stand behind his word and work.

We were in quite the jam and Michael SAVED US!! We needed to have our house painted over the 4th of July weekend. We have a rental property in Va Beach and would only be in town that weekend. Michael was the only painter I spoke with willing to take on the job on such short notice. Initially, we hired Michael to paint the first floor, stairwell, and second floor hallway. But when we saw the house, we knew it all needed to be painted. Michael had no problems expanding the scope of the project, despite an already tight schedule and working over the holiday. The turn out was AMAZING! His team is so professional. The new paint color completely transformed the house. Also, there was shoddy work performed by another so-called contractor who didn't caulk in the door frames and didn't even prime a replacement door. Michael and his team took care of all of that without even being asked. They care about your happiness and a job well done. They painted the whole house (about 1600 square feet) in about a day and a half. It's funny because my husband and I went to the home improvement store to pick up some items for the unit. When we returned to the house, my husband asked me what I wanted to start with and I said," nothing, I think it's best we just stay out of their way." From when we left in the morning to returning in the afternoon, most of the house already had the first coat of paint and/or was cut in already. On another note, our HVAC unit started leaking and water was coming down from the ceiling. Michael called us right away and gave us the heads up to head back to look at this. When we returned, his team had already turned the unit off and put down cloth to avoid damage to the carpets from the leak. They supplied buckets while we tried to do damage control until the HVAC company came. In the end, we got through with minimal damage. I am extremely pleased with the service and final product. As my husband and I worked through the unit cleaning areas, I kept finding little things that Michael and his team did, i.e., touching up areas in the closets, door frames, etc. It was such a relief. I highly recommend them and will definitely call them for any future projects needed.

I had two jobs that needed work which was my outside wooden fence and interior hallway. I had 3 other contractors come and Michael's company was the one I went with since it was the most reasonable priced. Michael came in and gave me a very lasting impression. Professional, great personality and even recommended other ideas and how to apply other colors that I didn't even noticed. The projects came out beautifully and he even knocked down the price since he said he got the paint a bit cheaper that week. Where can you find integrity like that?? Highly highly recommended you wont be disappointed!

We had a big big job to do, moving into new home we bought from out of state, needed to have complete inside (all walls, and all trim), and outside trim (brick home) painted in 7-10 days before moving in. We did not know who to use since out of state and needed someone we could trust not only with doing the job, but giving the key to our new home!! We found Michael online and via HomeAdvisor referrals, saw great reputation and great reviews so after talking to Michael who made us feel at ease and comfortable with big project, decided to trust Michael and his dedicated team (been together long time). We were not disappointed at all, and would recommend to friend and family anytime. GREAT service, fair prices, great work, great team... did everything they said would do, and much more, was on time, on budget, great quality and very efficient and on time with project as said would be. Came back when said would to finish few jobs we wanted done later, even if harder on their schedule, and again was great. Now doing more work since such good company. There are many painters to choose from, but only one I would go to and recommend now that have work with Michael! Also great to make recommendations on what to do, or not... Martin

I am currently out of state and trying to put my rental house on the market. I was not having any luck finding a professional reliable painter that could come out and give me an estimate much less paint my house in a reasonable amount of time. Another painting contractor highly recommended Michael. Wow! I am so glad I called him. Michael and his team came right out and gave me a very reasonable estimate for painting my entire house. They were able to fit me in very quickly into their busy schedule. His team did a fantastic job on the paint, they arrived early, prepared, were very neat, curteous, honest, and a pleasure to work with. It's nice to know that even though I'm out of state I can trust painting by Micheal to do an awesome job. Do not hesitate to use Michael for your next house painting project.

I called mike for my sisters condo in va beach that needed a repaint.he came right out the same day for a estimate. As soon as he arrived he presented several great options,we ended up going very basic colors since we were selling the property. The crew showed up the next day 45 minutes Early!!! I have never seen this from a contractor. I'm use to contractors if they show at all they are hours late. Mike and his crew did a awesome job when I came back in the afternoon I was shocked on how much better the condo looked. It looked brand new. They did a great clean up also.I would hire mike again

Mike was professional and reliable. I would hire him again without hesitation. He even went above and beyond and helped us find a carpenter.
