Merry Maids of Virginia Beach

I have only had them over twice. I would us them again.

carpets, floors, bathrooms,dusting, kitchen, hallway, foyer and sunroom

They are very good. I've used them regularly for the last year. They are very efficient, fast and reliable. The house looks great when they are done. I have a very large house. There are things they miss but they are very good. I've never had any lack of professionalism with them.

They have been coming every two weeks for about a year. They essentially dust, vacuum, change the sheets and do the bathrooms. I like them because they are bonded; I don’t think I am going to get stolen from. They always come on the day they say they are going to come. I would use them again in the future.

Extreme inconsistency in level of detail. Nebulous training in special areas like product use for wood floors. Very little attention to detail. Carpeting spotty. Did not appear to even have been vacuumed. Had to make them come back and redo the cleaning. Kitchen cleaning spotty. Arrival times inconsistent. Too many different people coming in my home.

Merry Maids did a great job. They are a very pleasant company to work with. We had a tenant that was not happy with a part of the cleaning work done and Merry Maids came back out to that apartment and redid the work for free. Merry Maids is a little expensive though.

A couple of times ago when they were here, after they left, I noticed black oily residue in the bathroom sink, I pulled the plug out and there was black crud all around it. They poured mop water in the bathroom sink. I put a note immediately over the mirror so they would not put the dirty water in the sink. Their protocol says that they shouldn't do that. A month after they were here last we started having nats around the house. They were coming out from the back room. I called a pest control company and they said that is normal if you have crud backed up in your sink. I talked to Merry Maids about it and they deny everything. They said they didn't put anything down the sink. Ever since we have had nats all over the house in the hundreds. I am so furious with them, they denied everything. The last time I talked to them the girl asked what they were to do, I said I just wanted them to acknowledge this is a mistake they made. She said the owner said that would not have ever happened.

We have never had any problems with their work. She cleans everything and does a great job at it. We have actually used this company three times in the past and we always ask for the same girl because she is so good at cleaning our home for us.

I feel they do a fairly descent job when they come. My wife and I only use them every other month or so to pretty much do an overhaul of the whole house. Of course, I paid them by the visit. We recently stopped our services and the only reason we did was because my wife had quit her job and was able to get all the cleaning done herself. It was kind of senseless to keep them coming back. If and when we would need help again, I would most definitely call them back.

Merry Maids did not please me with their service at all. I thought they would do a deep clean and really get my rooms spotless. Instead, they just did a quick surface cleaning. They didn't even clean the top of the refrigerator. I could have done a better job myself.
