Phil then suggested that we have a new, very similar setting created and use the diamonds from the original ring. I was, of course, heartbroken to lose the original, but the new one is better in every way! It's sturdier, it's even more gorgeous and it makes me smile every time I look at it!!!!! THANK YOU FOR TERRIFIC WORK! Remember, that the cost of service listed is for the cost of the NEW SETTING using EXISTING DIAMONDS!
They were also thoughtful enough to call me and ask if I wanted the ring appraised as their appraiser was coming in the day before we were to pick it up. Although we haven't received the appraisal yet, I'm sure it's due to the Holiday Mail situation.

It turned out very well. I was very pleased with their service. I liked the fact that they offered a free service. It was really higly recommended. I found them very friendly and very cooperative. They were very good. The service was good. I felt very trusting of them. I think the price was fine.

The estimate was free but since it was outsourced to a watch repairman I was told up front it would not be fast. I was OK with that and in a couple of weeks I had the estimate.
I felt the estimate was reasonable so I had the work done - again the staff at Madison informed me that it would not be a fast turn around. In a couple of weeks I got the call that my watch was ready to be picked up. The watch now works fine. I have known Phil for several years and highly recommend his business.

I brought in a bracelet, necklace and my wedding ring. Each needed to be repaired. They put two new links on my necklace and replaced the clasp. They also soldered the butterfly that had broken off my bracelet. The stone in my wedding ring was loose and they reset tit. I was pleased with the repair work and would use them again in the future.

It was a professional appraisal. He let me know when he was going to have it done and stuck to it. It was a very professional package that came with it for the insurance companies.

We were looking to sell some of our gold jewelry.
After shopping around, we took our gold in to Madison to sell, because of their review/rating on Angie's list
Note: The gold buying companies like Chesapeake & Hilltop who advertise heavily gave us the worst offers for our gold
They close at 5:00 PM, so as we were running late we telephoned and Phil, the owner, agreed to wait for us.
He appraised our gold and made us an offer, which was in-line with the other offers we had, but slightly better.
We had planned to continue shopping, but Phil made us very comfortable in that he was was an honest man and was giving us the best price he could, so we sold all of our gold to him, and have never entertained a 2nd thought about the deal we received.
Would we recommend Madison to others?
