LOWE'S

A six week project ended up taking 18 weeks. 60%of the original cabinet order was wrong so we had to wait five weeks for new ones. Fortunately, My husband and I measured and recognized the mistakes before the entire kitchen was demolished. We immediately stopped the project. In the store we reviewed the order they found additional errors. In addition, The installer had to request basic things that should have been in the order as well as items were ordered but not delivered by Lowe’s. During the “wait time”we also discovered there wasn’t enough of the backsplash that matched and it was no longer available. We had to pick out new backsplash. At the beginning of the project Lowe’s was very responsive. As things dragged on and on phone calls weren’t returned and we had to rely on the installer for information. It is now 20 weeks and we have backsplash, grout, cement, cabinet fillers that were not supposed to have been ordered still at our house. We are still trying to get reimbursed for items that were returned and items they billed us for that should not have been ordered.

We have an extended warranty on our refrigerator through Lowe's. The warranty takes care of the cost. Lowe's is fine, the people we deal with there. The biggest thing we've had trouble with is the refrigerator itself because we have to keep calling them back to have a certain problem re-done because of a design flaw from the manufacturer. But Lowes, they always respond to our problem and help us out. Their workers were all good.

When they did our splash, he did a really poor job. He did not take off some of the cement. It was just a poor job. On the floor you can see where he put items down. Many pits can be seen.

They were excellent. The contractors showed Lowe's the carpet and Lowe's came out and laid out the carpets. The contractors did a bad job and Lowe's was over there in three days and they just reordered it, took down and that was it. They did all by themselves because the contractors had done it so badly. They helped a lot when we went in there and they were always there. They have some good people there.

I needed 1,019 square ft of flooring as measured by installer. Lowe's wanted to charge me for 1,350 sq ft! The only explanation was "that was the number I was told to use". I understand there's always a mark-up, but over 30% !! Ended up going with Atlas Custom Flooring, got engineered hardwood for the price Lowe's wanted for laminate! And great customer service, besides!

Used my gift card at LOWE'S towards the purchase of flooring. Sometimes it is hard to find someone to help you with questions.

The crew sent to do the work was exceptional. In spite of adverse weather they planned their work well and were able to work around the weather problems. I monitored their work and the crew lead was very curteous and answered all my questions without hestatation. The contractor for Lowes Virginia Beach was Andersons Contracting. I'd like to single out the crew lead (Efferin)who was very socialble and answered all questions with a concern for the customer that is not seen often.

We like their convenience, product line, price - that's it.

They did excellent work. The work was done perfectly. I didn't have to stand over their shoulder to make sure it was going to be done right.
