I thought Lighthouse gave me excellent service for a very fair price. I would (and have) recommended them to friends and neighbors.
We learned that our general contractor no longer uses Lighthouse Electric for their electrical work, so apparently there have been complaints from other homeowners. There are many good electrical contractors out there, there's no reason to use Lighthouse.
"We are so sorry to hear that you were so unhappy. As a response to your review, I will start with that I (owner of lighthouse) was at your job many times to check with my guys to make sure everything was going to plan. Everytime I was there you were not, Im sure this was because you did not live there at the time. As for the prices for the extras you wanted, that all went through the contractor and what his mark up is I can not control. When you talk about the thermostat for the heated flooring I'm lost as I did not supply that, that was your tile guy and teaching you how to use it was his responsiblity. We did supply and install the timer for the out door lights and instructions were left for you. We never heard from you, that you were having trouble with it, all's you had to do was call and we would have been there immediately to show you how it worked. We would NEVER tell a customer that we charge for instructions for products that we install. And lastly, yes you are correct we no longer work with the general contractor, this was OUR choice as he is on the verge of bankruptcy and owes us thousands of dollars. We were not getting paid on time for your job but never came to you with that, we finished your job on time. We eventually did get paid from the general contractor much later.
