Jules Reid Interiors

Jules did an excellent job on the redo of my home in Virginia Beach. She is very fun to work with. Her ideas are classic and lasting. She brings energy to each room and the overall project. I was able to fully trust her and to let her unique ideas flourish in my home. I am very satisfied with the overall design elements and feeling that she brought to my home.

We found Jules on Angi and, after checking references, hired her for design work on our entire home remodel. Jules had good design ideas around colors and fabrics, and we are pleased with much of the final product. However, her business practices are problematic. After three billing installments to pay for hours in advance, without being provided an accounting of hours (as promised), she committed that the fourth installment would be a final installment, even if she went in hours. Afterwards, she said she regretted that commitment and billed us in arrears for thousands of dollars and will not deliver merchandise that has been paid for unless we meet her demands. She finally provided an accounting of her hours which included 10 hours to DC for wallpaper and fabric selection 14 hours for a visit to the High Point NC show AFTER we had ordered all of our interior furniture and fabrics, and other outrageous charges. She had multiple measuring errors that required returning products (for a fee) and cutting the legs down on brand new barstools (for a fee). She failed to disclose storage fees until six months into our engagement, and after paying her the fixed storage fees that we agreed on six months into the engagement, came back for more. She said she was passing on all of her designer discounts at the time of engagement, but will not provide the manufacturer receipts. Buyer Beware.

Jules is amazing! Great personality and great mind when it comes to ideas and the overall picture of a home. I would recommend right away.

I have never worked with a designer as visionary as Jules Reid. Her design aesthetic is completely original, and her ability to combine the contemporary and classic in a single space is unmatched. Her ability to source antiques, her vision with respect to art, and her use of color absolutely transformed our home. She is professional, vibrant and enthusiastic. In reviewing her other work before selecting her as our designer, I could see her talent - everything she touches turns beautiful. I highly recommend working with Jules.
