excellent cabinet maker did awesome job renewing the look of the fireplace. couple of very minor problems with tile work. Overall, very happy with final result

Excellent great team and very friendly

John Sadler (whose address is not Ocean View, but PO Box 61125, Va Beach , VA 23466) came by promptly after contacted in May 2014 and gave us an estimate. We received a contract in the mail detailing all the work and payment schedule. After signing and mailing it back with a deposit, we received a very nice and quot;thank youand quot; note from John.
Since we were not in a hurry to have our fireplace in the summer, we were content to wait until the first week in September for installation.
Damon and Lucas arrived on time on the scheduled date (Sept 3 - 5), put protective coverings on furniture, and proceeded to tear out the chimney to remove the old unit. They then installed the new fireplace, chimney pipe, replaced all the exterior siding after installing new unit (cannot even tell it was ever off!). All materials used were of the good quality. Damon even made us a new mantel when we decided that we really did not like the old one - no added charge! (We furnished the wood for the mantel.) Damon also polished our old slate hearth with mineral oil - it looks brand new!
John returned a couple times to check on progress and did not want final payment until he brought a new fire brick to replace one that had been cracked in transit.
The new fireplace is just what we expected. Damon and Lucas were skilled, courteous, and professional. John Sadler is an honest, fair, conscientious personable business man with a ready smile and a true concern for the quality of his work and we highly recommend his company.

I expected to call the company and leave a message, but Mr. Sadler answered the phone and came right over. He quickly assessed the job and gave us an estimate that was $1650.00 less than another estimate we had done four years ago.
The working crew was on time and very neat and respectful in our home. Despite the fact that they had to troop up three flights of stairs in our condo, they cleaned up as they went along and worked quickly.
The marble tile was replaced around the outside and was done perfectly. Looks beautiful! The whole job was done in a little over a week and we love it! We couldn't be more pleased with the company's work, the workers and Mr. Sadler. We would use this company again for other projects we might need to do in the future.

The day of the job, they arrived on time, were very polite and did not leave a mess. If I were not selling my home, I would definitely have them makeover the rest of my fireplace

John Sadler is the gentleman who came out to my house and provided me the estimate right there on the spot, where as the other 2 companies I dealt with had to take days to go back to their management to get figures. John's estimate was at least half of both of his competitors. Once the contract was signed, John also went the extra mile and sent a hand written thank you letter to my wife and I for our business. His workers were always punctual, polite, and respectful of our property. Their work was always superior quality. In fact at one point they were done a portion of the job, but the foreman had that work all redone the next day because he wasn't happy with it. I couldn't have asked for a better experience from a contractor. In fact I have signed another contract to have John do some further work in my house, and will continue to use him for years to come.

I need to replace a prefab fireplace in a town house that we were getting ready to sell. A few local fireplace companies gave estimates that were double or triple the price John gave. We ordered the materials and the fireplace was installed in 2 days. He was very easy to work with and very professional on the phone.

It was hard to initially get a hold of John, but once we did, he quickly came over and gave an estimate. He knew we were getting the windows from another place and didn't try to sell us anything; in fact, he provided helpful recommendations on the best type of windows for each room, which ended up saving us money on the window purchase. When the windows arrived, the crew was there the next day for installation. The crew did a quality job and worked quickly (completely finished in two days). John came out the third day to pick up the trash and review the job. Labor comes with a one year warranty. I would definitely hire again.
