AC died Friday evening - called Gildersleeve because we knew that it as most likely the pump and we had used them before. Called on Saturday am and knew we would have to pay the weekend rate (double the normal diagnostic fee $149), but it was 98 degrees out and we are a family of 4 and 2 dogs so we needed to get it done. They came out pretty quickly but the tech that came out was not happy about it...he obviously was on call and we were interrupting his weekend plans. He was even more unhappy when he saw where the pump was located and he would have to get dirty. We needed a new pump and he said the warehouse was closed but they would get to it first thing on Monday. He quoted us approx $850 for the pump and 3-4 hours of labor so an estimate of $1400-$1600. On Monday we received a call from the office to set up a time for the repair and the best they could do was possibly Tuesday or Friday. When I told her that the tech said we would be fixed on Monday she told me "you could of got it repaired on Saturday ". When I told her what the technician said about the warehouse she seemed surprised. Not sure if the tech was telling the truth about the warehouse being closed or he just not want to do the dirty job on Saturday. After making some phone calls to other well/pump companies we were able to get a very highly rated company to come out the same day and they charged us $700 INCLUDING labor. I guess I should thank Gildersleeve for being so unprofessional because it saved us a lot of money. Sent from my iPhone

Pumps replaced, system bled, and op check. Op check revealed problem with pump lockout switch. Guildersleeve was responsive to the problem, and sent out a technician promptly. They were upfront about a surcharge due to overtime service call (high demand). Since this is a closed loop geothermal system, and there were issues on both the loop and HVAC side, it took several visits to chase down the problems. We needed two different techs, one who was familiar with the closed ground loop (well) systems, and another who was conversant with the electronic controls of the HVAC unit. Unit has been operating well in the months since the repair. Overall, I'm pleased with the work.

Called Gildersleeve to service my geothermal system. First of all they charge $105.00 just to diagnose the problem. Called b/c I had a leak on the pipe going to my return wells. They sent someone out to tell me that I had a leaking pipe and that he needs to send someone else out to work on return pipes. That was exactly what I called them for. I receive a qoute that the work would cost $150-250. Guy came out, did some work, then gave me a bill for $850. Very unprofessional to get billed a price over 300% higher than the qoute. And the problem was not resolved. Called the office to discuss and they were very rude and unhelpful. Will not ever use them again.

I received quotes from three companies. Gildersleeve's quote was competitive, but the other 2 companies subcontracted the well drilling for the ground loop. Gildersleeve crews did the complete job. They came out early in October to install the wells so I could reseed my yard. Two weeks after they drilled six wells in my front yard, it was hard to tell that they had been there.
The install crew then took over and were very conciderate of our needs and worked around our schedules. The install was very neat and efficient.
The system installed by Gildersleeve (Climatemaster) included a mechanism that will heat my domestic hot water while I am running my air conditioner. The other companies wanted to charge extra to install that feature. It is included with the Climatemaster system.
All said and done, the system is running great and we are very pleased

We initially contacted Gildersleeve for service on our water softener and reverse osmosis system in Dec/2013. We were assured they could service all of our equipment and paid for the yearly service agreement. We asked about changing the filters/servicing the reverse osmosis system and planned on that being done at the next visit. Our next visit was September 24, 2014 after more than 3 weeks of waiting for filters to be located. Two technicians came out and replaced the filters on the reverse osmosis system after a lengthy visit. When they finished, some of the fittings were leaking. Since they didn’t have any fittings with them, they said they would try Home Depot but if not, they would have to be ordered. On October 1, a tech arrived to change the fittings and complete servicing the remainder of our equipment. Upon completion, the system was still leaking around some of the fittings making it unusable. He proceeded to check the pressure in the two pump water pressure tanks and when we asked about the other 2 tanks (the conditioner and iron filter) we were told that their company did not service them. The tech did provide the name of GE Mobile Water who subsequently repaired our nonfunctioning reverse osmosis system and completed the service of our water softener system. They found the filters were incorrectly installed and had to replace them since they were damaged. We contacted Gildersleeve and received a full refund immediately. Jake and Emily apologized for our experience. I wish I could give them a better review but for this job they should have recognized that the reverse osmosis system was probably serviced by another company.

Professional and dedicated to doing a good job. Our new unit had bad component but it was detected, ordered and replaced in 36 hours. We were offered portable heaters and could not have had better service.

Expensive but professional work. Cheaper options were provided with pros and cons and prices. New system has exceeded expectations.

The technician who came out was very professional and very helpful. He tested the injector pump and agreed with my assessment. He called the office and asked permission to go pick up a replacement pump and said it could be installed within the hour. The office would not let him perform the work, it necessitated another call. I waited until Monday of the following week for a return call for an appointment and a price for the pump. When I called no one was able to tell me anything about the pump or when they would be able to return to install a replacement. Later on Monday Karen called and told me a replacement pump would be over $600. I balked at the price, the entire set up for the Rid O Rust Treatment System was $590 two years ago, that included installation, tanks, chemicals and miscelleaneous parts as well as the injector pump. While speaking to Karen, I went to the Uni-dose website and the same pump was available retail to me for $181. She called me back the next day and gave me a price of $300 for the pump and $120 for labor. I told her I felt I was being taken advantage of since the technician had wanted to perform the work during his original call, that I had proactively sent the information and that she and I had discussed the price of the pump the day before.
I am still without a working system and will now go to one of the Angie's List preferred technicians. So far using Angie's List has been very helpful. Why wasn't I smart enough to handle this problem the same way.

We go back a long way, when we first moved here, they first put in a well for us and over the years they have come back when I call them for pump problems. They have come and fixed the pump and when I needed a new pump, they got it for me. They were very efficient, they came, they did their job, and they cleaned. They have a good reputation. I am very pleased with them and I would call them if I have any problems with my pump or for winterizing. The people they have sent over here were very good workers. They have impressed me, they just come out and do it automatically, and I don't have to call them and I like that. I signed a contract with them for $329, that includes fixing the pump, winterizing and de-winterizing the system, and it is a very reasonable price. So the price was good and the service was excellent and they were both fine young men that came to the house, and I would recommend them. They deserve whatever they charge and it is a good service so I don't mind paying. They showed up right on time and were clean and I just enjoyed talking to them, which is what I like.

They have a high quality of service. They did everything in our contract plus they provided an extra measure of professionalism and honesty during the job. The technicians and office staff were very curtious and punctual. You would not even be able to tell where they dug up the ground for the trench. They did such a good job.
