Very professional and high-quality staff of stylists. Clientele ranges from teens to elderly with stylists specializing in various age groups. My stylist took time to understand my hair and lifestyle then cut to please. This salon is not only home to some of the best area stylists...the staff is punctual and friendly.

They treat you extremely well. They treat you to some beverage while you are there. They are very timely, they work with me scheduling because I travel for living for health care. They are really good about working around my schedule and I stay with them because they do a really good job. I don't have a lot of time to wait around. They just do a consistent really good job and I am always really happy with their service. It is a very professional salon.

Appointment was made for my husband who is a man who possesses a quiet and unassuming demeanor. His hair needed to be colored, washed and cut. He had been to this salon previously and was pleased by the job that was done. Unfortunately this time, the hair stylist did not check on him while he was under the heating lamps and he ended up with first and second degree burns on his head. These were not so visible immediately afterwards but surfaced the next day when his whole forehead was bright red with blistering and his hair was damaged and fried. As he is an established businessman with meetings and travel, this and quot;new lookand quot; for him was quite unfortunate.
After having to go on a week long business trip and unable to meet with the stylist, we returned after our trip. I convinced my husband that he really needed to go to the salon and voice his displeasure. We were met with a great deal of and quot;wait right hereand quot;, and quot;I will get someone to address thisand quot;; we finally ended up having to walk to the back of the store ourselves to the break room after waiting for 20 minutes in the foyer for someone to come and talk to us.
We left without getting the satisfaction that we were seeking.
My husband did however get a call from the owner almost a week later who said that they would take care of some portion of our bill when my husband returned for another visit.
That is not going to happen.

The staff were friendly and responsive. The haircut was one of the best that my husband has had in a long time in the Virginia Beach area. We were very pleased by his stylist and will return.

They are a high-end salon and more than just a hair salon. They also have people that do massages and skin care. They have various levels of experience levels of employees. It is easier to schedule; you can just call in get in the same day.

I always get compliments. Shelly is like my therapist. It always looks good.

I have been going to Gary Allen for over a decade and the service (both nails and hair) have been consistently professional and meeting expectations. I never have a problem getting an appointment with someone and they always call to remind me and on occasion worked me in in a tight spot. I would think of going anywhere else.

I get my nails done, hair colored and I also go to some of their spa treatments. Gary Allen does hair styling, but he has not done mine and he is one of the better stylists in the city. Robbie is my hair stylist and he is excellent. It has been is good experience there. I would say the ambiance is elegant and they have water features and the music is upbeat, but still calming. The ladies behind the counter that schedule the appointments are very friendly and helpful in trying to find you a spot. They will leave a message if they can’t find a spot for you and the stylist will get back and try to work you in, but they look and dress very well, and it is a very high scale spa. The price depends on the provider and the level of experience they have. I have never had to wait an excessive amount of time when I went there and unusually they are early, but they will tell you the minute you walk in the door if your provider is running a little late and if you want to go do something else. That has never really happened to me, except for a few times.
